Alright, so today I'm gonna sit down and update this ROM.

I want to remove some of the apps that arent needed.. looking for opinions. Please make a post with apps that you think are useless (for the majority not just you).

I also need to do a 6.5.X ROM and I'll be using 23138 for that. It's a very good build IMO.

Other than that... any other suggestions ? Please be gentle. Lancez ? Your input would be greatly appreciated if you care to comment.

Hi !

For my part:

- I would like to have HTC Messaging built-in "Not just the cab" and make it the default messaging system.

- Don't use HTC dialer and use the Samsung one or even the default Windows one..for better memory.

- French ROM ! (Eazy input with accent like éèàîô.....Qwerty keyboard with french XT9)

- Opera 10 or do not include any Opera..we will install later.

just my 2 cent:

* samsung main menu i guess nobody's using it.

* htc dialer be replaced with samsung.

* lock screen to default winmo to save ram.

* htc folder

in general, i think that you can take out most of samsung apps while keeping samsung settings and touch player. users can find almost every samsung app in this forum and install whatever they want. so we can sqeeze out a bit more free RAM.

but if i were going to cook a sense ROM, then i would like to have some extra stuff cooked in:

- FM radio

- Java

- samsung settings

- touch player along with all necessary files

- samsugn keyboard and HTC EZinput (having these two inputs are enough)

- HTC phone canvas instead of samsung's to save extra 5mb RAM (but users still can install SS phone dialer to have video call)

- latest opera mini 5.1 (or install by cab)

that's pretty much it, just my 2 cents :)

sounds like you have installed 6.5.3 cabs on 6.5 or vice versa

I have found a couple of minor bugs;

1. In the ACTION screen, clicking SHUTDOWN results in a "Comma Expected" error.

2. When using Cookie's home tab editor, when you make a change and click APPLY, the app crashes.

I ve been using your ROMS since u made the first one for the TP2. Im greek, I want my ui in english, but still sometimes need to write in greek. On TP2 I didnt bother with ezinput since i always used the qwerty keyboard with aekmap.

But on the Omnia I dont have a hardware keyboard and need to use the on screen one. This http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index...rd_for_NRG_Roms works somehow, but only on qwerty mode, and with no real useful T9. Also the colors dont really match the NRG color scheme.

Any chance of implementing a proper greek ezinput, with phone pad mode and T9, correctly skinned etc? There are lots of Omnia users in Greece, since most greeks are so ignorant that dont even know whats HTC.

Well I did cook one, but like many other Omnia chefs noticed, the botton is all black, making Sense unusable. Unfortunately, maxcy has to fix this.. as I have no idea what the problem is. And he's been missing lately, so I dont know. Just wait for Cookie 2.0, you'll be blown away and Maxsense will feel antiquated :lol:

I think samsung apps like memo,converter,calender and communities are useless.and if you add htc messaging client with secure box your rom will be so better.

Whatever you cook is good.you are the best.

I just want to thank you for putting in the time to up-date your wonderful Roms! We know it takes sooooo much time to cook such brilliant Roms that actually work and without bugs. I was so excited to learn that we might still get a new version or two yet tonight.......is that still possible?????

I'm afraid I won't be much help with what to keep, leave, exclude, or add into your Roms because I like most everything the way it is :) Sure there are several redundant apps that can be cleaned up but please don't strip your Rom down to a super lite Sense verison because there are already several bare bones Roms out there now. What makes your Rom so special is that it's a Full Rom filled with many Surprises and with more Eye Candy then anything out there :lol: I love your Action Key, please don't leave it out as some have suggested. I know I'm not helping much but your Sense Rom is "One Of a Kind" with no one building Sense the way you have. And, you are the only one who got cookies Home Tab working!!! Much Better Graphics......way better.....do I need to say more?? Your work is just Suprerior!!

The other cooks are also amazing and I am very impressed with there hard work and talent but you Mr. NRG built something very special for our Omnia's........So, I thank you once again!

I was very surprised to hear that I was the first to donate you for your efforts here at Modaco. I think that is not a true picture of the generosity we are capable of here at the Modaco community. Please lets show Master NRG that we really do appreciate his awesome work and buy this man a few beers :( He has taken his time to bring to us the best Sense Rom we have seen and fixed the cookies home tab thing and is now trying to up-grade his already amazing Rom for us. Let's show a little graditude to him if you can!
