Guest tropmonky Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Donno if it's due to the ROM or not, but touiteur isn't working, twitter is though... It installs fine, logs in okay, but nothing appears in the timeline.. Just FYI in case anyone else has the issue.
Guest d4rkspike Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Did anyone else just get a notification of 2.2.1? Is it safe to upgrade to? Or do we need a new ROM? Thanks!
Guest and-ros Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Upgrade to 2.2.1 would be great. :-)
Guest d0lph1nk1ng Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 will this update make Modaco ROM r21 lose root? if yes, is there a way to disable this OTA update so it will not install?
Guest Cseb95 Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 (edited) Just to up this thread ;-) Waiting for this release, hope Paul will be able to work on it soon. I don't really need all the sense things that come with r24, I'd rather have a simple good one as the r21 I'm running. Thanks for your work Paul ! Edited October 7, 2010 by Cseb95
Guest mlevin Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 I'm coming from MoDaCo r21 (FRF91) with the 32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7 radio. Any arguments for or against including the new radio when going to the r22 at the top of this thread?
Guest Biolau Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Hi Paul, I have generated the rom 141010-2126-r22-update-nexusone-modacocustomcustomrom-unsigned-MD5-e8e5a939984ecf468f2f2390112c7eed.zip but after I installed it mentions MoDaCo Custom Custom ROM for Nexus One r21 WIP (Froyo FRG91) and not MoDaCo Custom Custom ROM for Nexus One r22 WIP (Froyo FRG33) ?! Development Tools, Titanium Backup are missing even so they have been selected. The phone keeps saying that there is an Android update ready to install but the install fails. Is there a problem with the rom generator? Thank you for looking into it.
Guest Nico 38 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Any update Paul ? I'm using this release and since few days, always get the update popup :)
Guest Kruzkal Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Any update Paul ? I'm using this release and since few days, always get the update popup :) Let it update. It will fail and never bother you again. :)
Guest Nico 38 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 It fails... but bothers some more days after :)

Guest RaphaelSavina Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Great job as usual! [*]Updated all software components to latest version On these (like Gmail, car, youtube,...) would it be better to uncheck them from the Kitchen and use the version from the Market? I already have the latest from the Market and was not planning on a wipe as I should not need it...
Guest Paul Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 No, not at all, the latest versions from the market are including, so you can include them in your bake. P
Guest RaphaelSavina Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 No, not at all, the latest versions from the market are including, so you can include them in your bake. P Good! Baked and downloading!
Guest Pug77 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Baked, then first flash failed, using Amon Ra recovery, completely missed the need to tick the 'signed update zip' Re-baked, flashing as we speak. Thanks for the hard work Paul.
Guest RaphaelSavina Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Not sure why but I am running out of memory. I have as much apps as possible on the SD (Froyo APP2SD)... Guest Paul Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Also, that's not unusual... Free / empty RAM = wasted RAM. :P P

So, it's better to have less "free memory" and more "cached memory". If kernel need more memory, it will be taken from "free memory" and then from "cached memory". But free memory is unused while cached one is used for speed up performance. So, it's better to have as much cached memory as possible in order to increase performance. It's "usable when needed" memory but used for caching when not needed.
Guest Cseb95 Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) Hi, I was not able to perform an upgrade from R21 to R22, with the upgrade the phone would'nt boot (cycling on the building of the colored X). I had to wipe all, I tried by parts but nothing worked. After installing, I think, quite sure, that the internal storage has shrinked, there still only 196Mo. I can no more install all my apps :-( 196.2Mo = System Data 34.2Mo, Applications 135.2Mo, Free 26.9Mo I'm sure I had much more than that .. I have moved as many apps as possible to the SD .. of course ;-) Is this "normal" ? Thanks, Seb Edited October 22, 2010 by Cseb95
