Guest ChundaMars Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 They have a rule that only 2 phones can be ordered per houshold for specific period. Could that be the reason so they cancelled it after checking? Nope, only 1 phone ordered and never have (and never will again now) ordered from them before. It's the lack of communication that gets me... that and the fact they take your money, post the phone THEN decide they have a problem
Guest Super Ted Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I have nothing but scorn for ADVERTISING SPAM. Took my money, posted the phone, then changed their mind and recalled the phone, NEVER TOLD ME, never responded to emails, kept my money for 2 weeks and only just refunded it yesterday, with no communication, no apology, no reason, nothing. Pack of idiots. Wouldn't buy a phone from them even if it were 50quid less than elsewhere. Rant over Yup, that's generally the sort of stuff I've heard about them. Luckily I found this phone on amazon through ADVERTISING SPAM and another company. Needless to say I went with the other one. Delivered brand new and sealed the following day. Can't say fairer than that. Unfortunately that company isn't supplying them on amazon anymore which is a shame.
Guest morena Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I got mine on the Ready Deal for £39 but I had to pay £120 for an automated monthly top-up of £10. I use that on payg on orange on the camel plan to call abrod. And I have a 3 contract for UK minutes and data. If I don't like it at least I won't lose much.
Guest bosh2009 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Morena, How did you get this deal? Was it instore and is the monthly top up ordinary credit that can be used for any purposes or only for calls and credit like with the topup that people are getting from Argos? Cheers if you can help.

Hope all go well.
Guest pureindigo Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Orange are still doing their 30% discount for existing customers as well guys. I ordered on Thurs 10th Feb and it was delivered yesterday. The girl I spoke to said that the offer had been discontinued, but then she said she would 'see what she could do', put me on hold for 3 minutes, came back and said that her supervisor was willing to do it for £78.99. I think if you get a nice operator, are really polite yourself, then you might be lucky. It's worth giving it a go ... 0800 079 2000, option 1 for private clients, then option 2 for pay as you go. I'm happy that I got it from Orange direct at such a good price, because should something go wrong, I at least have a physical point of return, unlike the reports that I've heard about ADVERTISING SPAM, and my own experience of play.com
Guest Fairlight2x Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Anyone who bought from ADVERTISING SPAM receive their free £10 credit? It's been 4 days and my credit is still at £0.01... I bought direct from Orange, it has been over 24 hours now, still no credit... It must be an Orange issue.
Guest Decadence Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I bought direct from Orange, it has been over 24 hours now, still no credit... It must be an Orange issue. Just received my credit but not sure how long it'll last as I've heard reports that somehow Orange manage to charge for data you are using over wifi.
Guest aequalszero Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Just received my credit but not sure how long it'll last as I've heard reports that somehow Orange manage to charge for data you are using over wifi. I also ordered from Orange over the phone (another £78.99 job - but I should hope so, I've been on Orange PAYG since June 2001!) - it took a phone call to get my £10 credited in the end. Should really be automatically added after you register (but I had to call for that too). I don't think Orange can charge for data used over your home wifi - it's probably a case of the phone still communicating / syncing via 3G at the same time. A rogue app maybe?
Guest devjin Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I just ordered mine for 20£ (sold my old n95 for 60£ and ordered SF from orange for 80£) Can't wait! Buy of the year for me :D
Guest gregorv Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Hello My first post here. :D I live in EU, but I'm not from UK. I know that zte blades are on sale on ebay.co.uk but prices are arround 135-140 GBP. Do you maybe know if I can get this phone somewhere else, cheaper? Thanks Kind regards.
Guest GTAKing99 Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) In Switzerland we've also got some, but most of them are allready buy'd. You could have a Chance if you find a kiosk in that didn't sell many of them.. I had luck, i've got one after searching 3-5 kiosk's, but now my display don't work.. If you want one from Switzerland search one at ricardo.ch EDIT: Here's a good one, really cheap and unlocked (no SIM) http://www.ricardo.ch/kaufen/handy-festnet.../v/an635422616/ Edited February 18, 2011 by GTAKing99
Guest JimJam707 Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) Hey guys, some of you might know me as that guy who goes off topic alot with dan on the pulse forums. That's true. What I'm asking now is, where is the best place in the UK to but the pulse? I only have £80 so the £100 on orange is a bit too much. Any ideas? - Jamie. Edited February 18, 2011 by JimJam707

Actually looking around the price has gone-up everywhere :D Play, argos, Amazon (Although that was always expensive) You could see if you can get anywhere with Quidco style cash-back :S And if your coming over here leave Dan at the door :D
Guest nevdroid Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Tried getting the £79 orange deal today had no luck. My mother in law has a pay monthly account.. no luck on that. Father in law has 2 payg phones. Both with £50 credit on. Yet they said u don't qualify if u don't top up regularly. Tough luck on orange... wont be spending any more with them... neither will father in law! Looks like ill be getting it from Argos tomorrow for £89

He has a damn Desire Z :S
Guest Simon O Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 £102.19 including the £10 top up from play.com Can't get them any cheaper new.
Guest devjin Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 You can get one from Orange by phone for 80£(10£ top up included) if you quote them an orange PAYG number, doesn't matter if the orange number belongs to you or friend or family.
Guest Nebbo Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 erm try argos http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/s...s=SAN+FRANCISCO £89.99 incl £10 topup looks like can only collect from a store and subject to available stock
Guest djdan89 Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 i got mine today from argos, online it advised £89 + £10 airtime, went into the store after reserving online, only to be told that offer is incorrect and i had to get £10 top-up. Nothing major, just accepted it, but still for £99 it is a BARGAIN!!
Guest tuckshop Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) @gregorv You could try Handtec and ask them to remove 20% VAT. Hmm their "exc VAT" price seems to be only 17.5% less! VAT was changed to 20% over a month ago. Edited February 19, 2011 by tuckshop

Nothing major, just accepted it, but still for £99 it is a BARGAIN!! Same here, just picked up a white blade from argos, was expecting to pay £89.99 but was told it was £99.99 a little misleading as it says £89.99 with a free £10 topup voucher.
Guest BritishBob Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...N+FRANCISCO.htm If you use Mazuma you can get Argos vouches that are worth more than you get in cash... Edited February 19, 2011 by BritishBob
Guest gregorv Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Thanks for answers I have checked handtec.co.uk but in checkout VAT is not removed if i choose EU country. On this page they say that vat will be removed: http://www.handtec.co.uk/delivery.html But this is not true or maybe I missed something?
Guest flywhc Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 You can get one from Orange by phone for 80£(10£ top up included) if you quote them an orange PAYG number, doesn't matter if the orange number belongs to you or friend or family. I doupt you can get it for £ 80 for any existing number. It is not that simple. I bought a orange PAYG SIM with 10 pounds topup in early Jan and was told I couldn't get any discount. Then I topup 10 pounds again in Feb, CS told me that if I could top up 10 pounds again they could offer me 30 pounds discount. So I did and got the phone with 10pounds credit totally 79 pounds.
