Guest Len Ash Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Thanks for answers I have checked handtec.co.uk but in checkout VAT is not removed if i choose EU country. On this page they say that vat will be removed: http://www.handtec.co.uk/delivery.html But this is not true or maybe I missed something? Alarm Bells should be ringing in your ears about now...
Guest cacoe Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 £99.99 is the cheapest I've seen it anywhere, some places try to pass off it's only 89.99 by neglecting to point out you still have to pay £10.00 for credit http://www.amazon.co.uk/Orange-San-Francis...7187&sr=8-1 Ordered mine here with standard postage and got it the next day, I was really impressed. Only one left though!
Guest achromic Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Just been reading through some of the posts here, and I thought I'd put my 2 pence worth in. Bought my first Orange SF a couple of weeks ago, and from the start, I was amazed, wish I'd bought it before I get the wildfire :D Today, I bought the Orange SF in white, mainly for testing purposes (honest :) ), and it cost me £10 less. Got them both from the local orange store in Cambridge. Now, I must remember, next pay month, NOT to spend so much on phones :D
Guest devjin Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) I doupt you can get it for £ 80 for any existing number. It is not that simple. I bought a orange PAYG SIM with 10 pounds topup in early Jan and was told I couldn't get any discount. Then I topup 10 pounds again in Feb, CS told me that if I could top up 10 pounds again they could offer me 30 pounds discount. So I did and got the phone with 10pounds credit totally 79 pounds. It is that simple! I just had to try 3 times to get the discount :D Lots of people at HUKD are doing it too. Edited February 20, 2011 by devjin
Guest Ron=) Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Hey guys, some of you might know me as that guy who goes off topic alot with dan on the pulse forums. That's true. What I'm asking now is, where is the best place in the UK to but the pulse? I only have £80 so the £100 on orange is a bit too much. Any ideas? - Jamie. Honestly, the Orange discount for being an existing customer is the best way to go. You can and should get it for 80. Find a mate who is on orange PAYG who has been there a while and quote their number!
Guest tuckshop Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) @gregorv It depends which country you are in. Some eu countries pay VAT and some don't (but most do) which country are you from? Edited February 20, 2011 by tuckshop

Guest apc Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 TopCashBack will give you about a fiver off if you buy from ADVERTISING SPAM, working out at about £95 in total.
Guest aequalszero Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Tried getting the £79 orange deal today had no luck. My mother in law has a pay monthly account.. no luck on that. Father in law has 2 payg phones. Both with £50 credit on. Yet they said u don't qualify if u don't top up regularly. Tough luck on orange... wont be spending any more with them... neither will father in law! Looks like ill be getting it from Argos tomorrow for £89 That's a shame - did you try ringing more than once? If there's one thing I took from this thread it's that the resistance to giving you the offer is usually based on nothing but the customer services rep you speak to. For example, I was a long-term Orange PAYG customer, but with very (very) infrequent top-ups - was offered £78.99 straight away.
Guest RobRobRob Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) Hi, Argos have posted an offer for the Orange San Francisco, for collect in store only, for £89.99 this INCLUDES the £10 top up. This is the link http://www.argos.co.uk/static/SpecialOffer...er/25999367.htm Picking mine up tomorrow Rob. Sorry, this has already been posted! Rob Edited February 21, 2011 by RobRobRob

This is the link http://www.argos.co.uk/static/SpecialOffer...er/25999367.htm Rob. Incorrect I'm afraid mate. The free £10 from the offer is applied once the phone is activated and is separate from the compulsory £10 topup you have to buy with the phone. It clearly states in the product description of the phone that "This handset must be purchased with £10 airtime, this will automatically be added to your transaction in store."

Yup, quite right :D Can't even blame it on the small print coz it's right there in plain sight! Oh well, never mind. Rob.
Guest Rotmann Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Sheesh mates, there is a STICKY topic with the same discussion. Look. Strange to see no one reported this as it is a double topic.

Guest tuckshop Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) @gregorv Sorry my bad, Handtec is probably more expensive than ebay for you at the moment. I checked my map of Europe and you are right next to Austria. Have a look at this link: http://hofer.at/at/html/offers/58_22522.htm Is there a Hofer at Slovenia maybe they sell it there too? Guest Respect Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 I'm a student from Holland and have recently noticed the Orange San Francisco. This phone is amazing for the price and I would like to see one in my own hands soon. I've been mailing/calling around but unfortunately it seems stores in the UK are forced to sell only within the UK. Is there anyone still helping other Europeans out and picking up/shipping phones for them? There's a deal going on at Argos.co.uk from which the benefactor could keep the sim card/airtime voucher.
Guest kar999 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) Not sure if this might help anyone but I had registered my new PAYG number online with Orange so they could see who I was on their system when I called. I got it for £78.99 about 3 weeks ago with a new free sim and no top-up. I got the deal first time I called by politely stating that I was an existing PAYG customer with the registered number 07XXX XXXXXX and simply requested the £30 discount that was being offered to existing PAYG customers. Guest sparkxster Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 I got mine on Amazon for 99 quid. Ebay was looking for a good 20 to 30 quid more (though they werre de-branded and loaded with android). When I went ot Organe they wanted me to buy two top ups for 20 on the 100 they wanted for the phone.
Guest Fr3Akk Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Any one know any Promotional Codes for amazon.co.uk? Thanks for sharing if any one will share

Guest noh Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 What you mean with "Don't forget cashback from the likes of Quidco or Topcashback." ?? Quidco and Topcashback are cashback sites. If you are in the UK and you purchase items using the link on their site you earn cash which is paid back to you. http://www.quidco.com/onestopphoneshop/?ac http://www.topcashback.co.uk/one_stop_phone_shop/ Both are currently offering £7.50 cashback on PAYG purchases from onestopphoneshop.

Nice one, ordered via Quidco. I've added onestopphoneshop to the wiki page too. CM7 tryout coming up I feel. Quick edit for those thinking of ordering from these people: I ordered Thu after lunch and it arrived Friday morning - very impressive. Had a text waiting saying "thanks for ordering from the carphonewarehouse" whatever that is about? Edited February 26, 2011 by tttonyyy
