Hi all,

I ordered from orange for £99.00 plus £10 top up, via Quidco and got £12 cashback, may not be the cheapest deal but I was impressed!

Cheers

I'm about to order 5 Blades and have them shipped to the Netherlands. We want to use them for research purposes (I work at a University), and Blades give pretty much the most bang for buck, and are easy to root/hack, etc.

I'm using borderlinx.com to get them from the UK to the Netherlands. I expect to pay about 60 pounds in shipping, and 90 pounds per phone, which would make the price per phone about 120 euro. We'll see how it goes.

Are you ordering these from Argos for 90 pounds each? I thought they were out of stock there.

Hello,

Just registered! Don't know if this is the right place to ask, so please correct me if needed.

I've been interested in the ZTE blade for a while now and getting one from the UK seems like the close and cheap option. (I'm from Belgium) My father goes to the UK quite a bit so I was planning to ask him to bring one. Problem is: I can't expect him to go to too many shops as he's reasonably busy.

I've noticed people ordering from places like ADVERTISING SPAM and play.com. But I was wondering why people don't order from orange.co.uk directly. I can actually specify the day it should arrive.

Has anybody had any experience ordering from orange.co.uk? Was it on time? Any extra costs? My fathers only going to be in the UK for a week or two.

If not orange.co.uk, can anybody recommend another good option. Argos was useful because I can check the stock. Unfortunately most Argos stores in a 30 mile radius seem to be out of stock.

I'd love to be able to use the warranty if the digitizer or something else suddenly breaks.

Sorry if these are all silly questions to ask...

Thanks

I'm from Asia. Can anyone help me to get one? I'm willing to pay additional amount on top of the phone and shipping price. Anyone?

Mine was an Argos purchase last week....

I would advise to check the Argos stock a few times daily if you can as I did see single phones coming in and going out of stock at various stores quite frequently, but once in stock, they don't stay that way for long !

White also seemed easier to get hold of than Grey in Argos.....

A Grey model finally came up at a shop I could get someone to so they were dispatched on the bus the next day

I'm also very interested in the ZTE Blade, but it isn't available in my country (The Netherlands), unfortunately online shops from the UK do not ship international.

I've also looked on eBay, but most of those sellers also do not send to the Netherlands, and if they do the prices are too high.

So could anyone help me out with getting this device? (Ofcourse you'll get some money for the service  )

People do not order from orange probably they are not from UK. I think they only ship to UK.

Most other sellers do not ship out either. The ones that do are selling at higher prices and you have the shipping cost on top.

If your folk is coming over to UK, I suggest you get one from Argos.

You know where he is going? And he knows how to get around?

Take a look at argos.co.uk and find a shop that has stock where your folk may be able to go to collect. They have maps of where the tores are. Then order it, the day before he is due to arrive and collect. When you order it, you will get an order number and you collect it at the designated store producing the order number. Any one from anywhere in the world can make the order. You just have to collect it at the store within 2 working days. For that you pay 99.99 UK pounds, which include 20 pounds worth of talk credit.

I would concur.

There was no stock in my local store or miles around and suddenly the next day there was and then gone again.

What is the "additional £10 top-up for service" for?

Are you planning to come to UK and thought you can use it right away?

I do not think you can do that. You hae to register it in UK before you can use and I understand you have to have an UK address to do that.

I forgot to put quotes around that phrase. I'll put it another way. I am willing to pay some additional amount to the person willing to buy and ship the product to me.

No - TFT

OLED stock ran out everywhere in early December. CPW only got (online/store delivery) stock this week after 2 months without. (Mate works for them)

Thanks for the info.

I've been checking the argos site religiously for a couple of weeks now. Unfortunately my father is located somewhere in the middle of Wales and won't want to travel to far. I'm still checking the site multiple times a day but it never seems to be in stock. So I'm going to have to look for other means.

I'm thinking of trying the CPW deal and delivering it to a store.

If this fails then I'm going to try either Orange.co.uk or play.com. Do you guys happen to know which one would be quicker? My father will only be in the UK for less than two weeks.

Again, thank you so much for the help. This looks like an astonishingly cheap phone for the price. I can't wait to tinker with the different roms and apps available for it.

Play.com don't always deliver in a timely fashion so would avoid if you're concerned about speed of delivery.

CPW deliver to store always seems to work OK for me. Argos OK, but a trek for me. I wouldn't trust Play - too many mishaps in the past.

Argos is still you best bet.

If your folk is there for all of 2 weeks, it is bound to have a couple nearby unless he is in rural area.

Check the stock very early in the morning or late at night.

CPW shop in person first choice, Argos second choice but Argos stock levels very low usually. Always best to go to a shop just in case it's faulty, it takes far less time in getting a replacement. You could ring and reserve two Argos phones in case one was faulty as an idea.

That is a sensible "in case" if there is any stock to order at all.

I wonder if/when you take the phone back, how would you explain to the "please exchange to the other one I have ordered"?
