Received txt message time stamp 4 hours behind

I just flashed my phone with the rom found on this thread.

Everything is working good except that all my received txt messages are 4 hours behind. Its really annoying as I have to keep scrolling up to view the last message I received. I've tried changing time zones and then changing it back. I tried disabling automatic system time zone update and resetting the phone and also turning it on and off but nothing has worked so far. How do I fix this problem?
