Guest furik Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) guys i'm trying to install into my storage, there is a way for delete the partition from storage card? Once again, PLEASE stop asking same questions over and over again! Just take a break for reading...You are asking but you are not listening/reading! Edited February 10, 2011 by furik
Guest mate55fk Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 that is very compleks. The final version of beta with zip is easy for us.
Guest cicciosprint Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) Toyed a bit more and: - battery info is now displayed, looks it STILL has something to do with the charger having been plugged in BEFORE first accessing battery info, will test more - had one restart, but that's due to me experimenting with resource optimization :P - had the "multiple keypresses to wake up" hiccup, perhaps the processor clock is set TOO low? Also, battery life seems to still be somewhat lacking, with no correspondence between WM and Android, still some lines onscreen during locking/unlocking but I first want to compile a revision of tom3q's lib before passing judgment. Testing, testing... Edited February 10, 2011 by cicciosprint
Guest BaltazarPinto Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 After a fresh install everything works fine, didnt get any problem waking it up and speed is back to normal: fast. Was able to get gprs working until i rebooted my omnia, now i can't see the apn list and if i try to add them again they get lost too. Was unable to use wireless also until i reset the apns to the default. Now i can't use gprs anymore but that's a problem i can live with. Until now, for some 3 hours, i didn't get any waking up problem and android is just fine. Battery drain is lower then in previous version and i find it already very usable. Thanks devs, doing a very good job.
Guest alexovy Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) so...after fresh install, personally I find beta2 a little bit slower, but better :P. Now 3G data is working, my simcard contacts are finally imported, wireless is working better (but slower then 3G...weird), etc, etc....so all together beta2 is better. now....for the guys who want to know what I did: 1. copy the original beta1 files to My Storage; 2. run Haret from o2beta folder; 3. terminal text is running but no andoid logo or xwindow. It restart it self; 4. unpack the Radie's update package - February 4 2011 to My Storage root; 5. restart (using Haret from My Storage root). Andoid logo and everything; 6. copy beta2 files to My Storage root; 7. restart. Everything looks fine. A couple of freezes, but after a couple of resets everything was running; 8. copy the o2b2update.tar.gz update from 2010.02.10 to My Storage root. Rename it to o2bupdate.tar.gz; 9. restart. Android logo running smooth, everything is ok. GPRS data is ok and really fast. Any questions? feel free to ask! Thanks devs! Edited February 11, 2011 by alexovy
Guest igorbr Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 the cube button (middle) unlocks the screen, just press this button and it's unlocked...i had to set unlock pattern for dont unlock it accidentaly...

Guest xcavs Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 beta2 really awesome.. I never have problems from fresh install, I just put all the updates to the 02b2filesys.tar.gz manually. I never get the sleep of death, the clock problem fixed, the battery for 5 hours only decreased 4%, have not tried wifi, in general I feel beta2 much better than beta1. Thx dev.. :P
Guest DaMomnia Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I am confused, my beta 1 doesn't boot anymore :P Now, I do a fresh install. Before i checked out the beta 2, my beta 1 run.

Try unzipping this (http://o2droid.phj.hu/o2b2update.tar.gz) into your "My Storage" root and then booting up from Haret.exe from your "My Storage" root. Worked for me hehe Edited February 10, 2011 by bu11d0g
Guest Shadowlord666 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I'm having problems with a SDHC card (class4, 16GB). I managed to install beta 2 on it, but everything was very slow. I had crashed apps/processes every few seconds. Also WiFi didn't work correctly. Downloads were VERY slow or I couldn't connect at all. I've reinstalled Android three times, but always got the same results. Now I've installed to an older/slower microSD card (not SDHC, 2GB): NO crashing apps and WiFi is working better (very fast). I'm using the same setup files/updates for both cards. I've checked the SDHC card with HDTune for errors (nothing found). AND I've made a benchmark comparison of both cards. The SDHC card is indeed faster. So, are there still problems with SDHC cards or am I doing something wrong? But what? FAQ suggests using a class 6 or class 10 card, so it *should* be working somehow, I guess. I want to buy a faster/bigger card, but if SDHC isn't working correctly, that would be a waste of money. Also, sleep of death still occurs on my device with beta 2 (complete reinstall, not updated from beta 1). I'd say, it happens more often than with beta 1 (I could still wake beta 1 up with a couple of keypresses, but it's not possible now).
Guest 92omnia92 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 hi all, how to root i8000? thanks
Guest djsolidsnake86 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Also, sleep of death still occurs on my device with beta 2 (complete reinstall, not updated from beta 1). i installed beta 2 (fresh install) in my storage (with the method described in the google code page) and i still get sleep of death (and mine, before wasn't spam)
Guest bu11d0g Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Hi everybody! I managed to install beta2 and it's been working ok for me, pretty stable, no sleep of death, very fast. Only problem is that I can't get the data connections working, even after setting up the APN for my carrier (TIM Brazil). I can't connect to wlan either, using WEP here. But it's great to see Android running on my phone, great work DEV TEAM!!! o/
Guest Yce Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Well, i tried everything... but I can't install the beta2. After ipc transfer it gives an error like "multipdp, invalid id: 10" or something like this, and after it blank screen then reboots. Someone could write down how to install it to my storage manually step-by-step? if someone did, where can I find it? Sorry for asking it again, but I don't know what I'm missing...
Guest bufalo Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 just a posts above, but doesn't work for me. Just like damommia
