SEARCH IS WORKING! you have to select the above level and not directly the last discussion.

my current setup is:

- ext4, 2GB

- modified zimage for ext4

- new cpu libs

- new 2d/3d

- button fix

- no setcpu

works on charger perfectly, but after unplugging i got sleep of death after 2min ;D sucks little bit.

i charged the whole night, and rebootet one time. winmo says 86% battery, thats not enough. so probably i got now batterydrain problem or no charging (not usb).

My setup before was the same but without ext4 and the modified kernel, without setcpu and it worked fine.

and i had never the large power drain.

Cause i didn't find out where the benchmark values came from, i couldn't test my phone so far.

But as long as the ext4 is more unstable as my previous setup, i'll change back.

edit: i will test ext4 setup with setcpu, lets see what happens to sleep of death.

AND

SEARCH DOESN'T WORK IN THIS FORUM AT ALL. LIKE MANY OTHER THINGS. PLZ FIX IT!

It will not search in the Android thread.

Search for example for "o2bupdate.tar.gz" it will not show up.

well this is what i did

we need the beta2 from project page

http://87.229.73.80/beta2_1024.zip

we need vmware player and ubuntu

Thank you very much! I make it. I'm using Ubuntu live CD.

But now, the android can't be woken up from deep sleep even I set the cpu clock over 133MHZ with setcpu. Could you know what causes this issue? is it help if I update to ext4? Thanks again.

ok...i applied every single update, even the updates.rar posted in previous posts...

Now i get this wierd error:

[ 481.619819] init: untracked pid 2422 exited

request_suspend_state: wakeup (0->0) at 57102

6323874 (2011-02-22 16:22:58.112632018 UTC)

and it repeats itself with different numbers about millions of times until i take out the battery myself...

I am trying to run android on My Storage with the compiled modified ext4 zimage on an ext4 partition because none of the 3d drivers have worked for me because it rebooted everytime before bootup screen..

Now, what the badword is this goddamn error?

Why when I'm charging the battery the Android shows that I'm not, and on the other hand, when I'm not charging, it shows that I'm?

Thanks!

Followed jimmad method for installation and everything worked like a charm. Now I have my ext4-android running  .

Now let's see if it is more stable than the standard beta2 posted by the developers. Will post how the system behaves on the following hours. My first impression is that it starts much faster than before, and Home seems more "fluid".

BTW, I installed it on a 600 Mb ext4 partition on my 4Gb SD Card (only 2 Gb My Storage) using lubuntu.

Thanks once again to jimmad for the guide!.

Regards.
