install it in my storage ext4 using jimmad's method + new zImage.. android success to boot..

but key map is different with out of the box beta2 with default zImage.. at first, cube button work as home button so i cant set APN in order to enable 3g..

so i decided to update with new key mapping, but after that all button seems not working anymore..

maybe this kernel version is not originally made to work in My storage?

I also don't know why my scores are higher, I just used the normal updates. I get at Pinpack mostly 8.8-9.2 and 9,4 was just my top.

In quadrant the difference is I think that I get a huge score for I/O which is always around 1100 and the rest of my scores are more similair to yours.

I compared my phone with an low-end budget phone (LG GT540) and that one got only 2.54 for linpack and took 32seconds, now I also get why it says "could take more then 30 seconds".

My ext2 system hasn't been corrupted since day 1 of using beta1, i'm now on beta 2 and still no corruption. I am using an uSD card with an unknown class (no class mentioned on the uSD card)

Do you think our CPU performance will increase even more? Because I truly do think so

Working fine in ext4 now, thanks a lot Jimmad!!

But to use the ext4 need to change the zImage?

And if so, where can I find the version that supports ext4?

Thank you very much

Hi!

Yes, you must use a new zImage. Just take a look at the previous page, where jimmad posted a complete guide with all the required files.

Regards.

first of all,3Q for your hard work on this project!

I'm a Chinese user,so maybe my English is a little poor,my apologize~

in my opinion that, the KEY for “BACK”,may be easie and more comfortable

by press the button “off phone(hang up)”

instead of present “Camera”。

or it is to say that, alternate the function of “OFF phone(hang up)” and the “camera”

3q for your attention。

someone please tell me how do i recover the memory in my storage card.

i wish to install it to another memory card i have however on the current memory card i have it shows '2.68GB' when my storage card free space was initially '3.7GB'. How do i recover the memory? i tried formatting however it shows that the used space is only '4kb'.

Is this what they call a 'memory leak'?

please answer to my query, thank you.

Quick question,

Whenever the camera works in all it's glory would our device be capable of recording 720p according to the hardware that is in this device?

Just like the nexus one went from 480p recording to 720p just by an software update and it works great on that device, that's why I'm asking

Could everyone check this ?

it states that the antenna power control isnt working properly

and thats causing the drainage of the battery and maybe also the SOD / 30 sec call thingie

Could you guys put your output on the page ?

settings/ about / status ( signal strength )

3 confirmed @ -81

PLEASE REPORT !

----------------------------------

"I'm thinking the reason for high battery drain is incorrect 2/3g transmitter power control. i.e the phone is emitting more radio power than it needs to connect with the local cell.

I am a radio systems engineer.

What do others see their received signal strength as? (settings/ about / status) Mine seems to be permanently at -81dBm 16 asu. At work I can get within 30 metres of a 3G transmitter base aerial and my phone still shows the same signal strength. It should be waaay higher, I'm guessing something like -30dBm which is a power factor of 10 thousand times higher!

The signal strength of a received signal determines the power output that the phone transmits at so that it can be 'heard ' by the receiver. If the phone is unnecessarily transmitting too much power it is wasting battery power and also causing data errors with the receiver.

Perhaps this is a clue to reducing battery drain?"

LG GT540= -101 dBm 6 asu / -99 dBm 7 asu

Omnia 2= -81 dBm 16 asu

Both phones located at the same exact spot.
