Just to throw my 2 cents in the mix...

I was getting sleep of death constantly and it seems it was related to my SD card. I've just removed it and no more SOD. Also, WM stated that I have about 600 songs on there when I actually had around 900. Seems it somehow got corrupted... >It's a sandisk 8gb class 2 card...

Gonna try and format it to ext4 since I only use it for android...

can you tell us exactly what did you do, in steps?

Thank you!

Sent you a message, dont want to flood this thread with repeated information.

Also from what I see around here, what I did works pretty well for my phone but it may not always work for others.

that freaking modified sd.cpio.gz keeps saying it can't find o2beta in internal something...but it's there!!... and then starts searching for sd card and reboots...wtf ?

Seems the proximity sensor is working (see timeline)

I hope we will see a new beta (or update) soon

And the Topic changed to "Android on Omnia II - i8000 (24.02.2011)"

Does this mean anything ?

please see the guides carefully, especially the fourth step. It works for me.

Wow, I also realized that the title of the topic has been changed. waiting for the next update.

I suspect the phone is actually sleeping whereas the phones for those of us who have terrible battery life don't. When I go into *#*#4636#*#* and click "Battery history", go to "other usage", and press "Running", it says "Time spend without sleeping: X hrs Y mins Z secs" and it's 100%, meaning my phone hasn't slept at all since it started. I get the same result even if I have rebotted and not started wifi (the dev's said there is a problem with wifi turning off).

Would you mind checking to see if your phone is indeed sleeping? That would help diagnose why the sleep problem is still present.

Thanks!

jimmad,

It seems your Android very stable.

Did you suffer freeze or mounting SD card issue?

Did you install cpu libs 1.3 & new 2D/3D driver in your Android?

I tried to install beta2 into My Storage but it always has mounting SD card issue for every reboot & suddenly unmounted it & made the system hanged since it is reading/writing data into/from the SD card.

Thanks.

I had that problem too but everything was ok after reflashing a MST WM ROM. I guess you created the Linux partition manually and that should be the cause.it seems that the FAT partiton on My storage can not be mounted correctly when booting into android unless you allow the installation to do the partition job automatically, and that's why ext2.tar is not detected on My storage. Please let me know if i'm wrong.

i have install

2d3d- Stu's 2d3d lib

Gruven's CPU library

build.prop

my android is very stable is running over 4 days

now and i dont have any freezes

although i do have some some apllication say wait or force close

but only when running many things 2 3 installation from market via wifi

and i think is ok because i wait and they come back

also i did have some problems during boot when usb cable was connected

but not every time

i would say android is for daily use now and omnia is the only phone i got

if anyone want to ask something particular it would be nice to send pm

cause most things are already answered or are somewhere in this forum

i know its big threat search doesn't work be if ppl keep asking did u have this or that

it will just go bigger
