Guest felalex Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Is anybody with android on ext4 having freezing problems and sleep of death? I did't have any problems in the beginning, but now, whenever I unplug the phone from laptop, I get sleep of death and every time I install anything, it freezes after install. I've got that too  I've upgraded the partition from EXT2 to EXT4 and put kgp's kernel. SOD when the screen is off for a long time.
Guest emptyara Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 I've got that too :) I've upgraded the partition from EXT2 to EXT4 and put kgp's kernel. SOD when the screen is off for a long time. i also experienced it.. gave up with ext4  I found my device is more stable only on ext3.
Guest Rufik Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Stick to ext3 - it seems that ext4 is not working correctly (SOD).
Guest felalex Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Stick to ext3 - it seems that ext4 is not working correctly (SOD). Thanks, I'll try to downgrade to EXT3.
Guest vidavi Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 New update by phj http://o2droid.phj.hu/trac/wiki -Accelerometer and magnitic sensor orientation corrected, full interface implemented to the akmd2 service to handling the orientation - now the screen autorotate, etc works in Android. In addition to use the newest kernel must implement in the init.rc the followings: service akmd2 /system/bin/akmd2 disabled oneshot -Also make a symlink in /system/hw: ln -s sensors.saturn.so sensors.default.so. -Additionally to use the automatic backlight feature add to init.rc (on init section) the following line: write /sys/class/lightsensor/switch_cmd/lightsensor_file_cmd 1
Guest surenz Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 (edited) Stick to ext3 - it seems that ext4 is not working correctly (SOD). I've the impression that there is some problem (parameters or version of compiler) with the kgp700 compiled version of zImage. It's up to him to share his experience with his version. And don't forget to add his tweaks. So that's why I'm waiting for a new release from the devs and then make a new install with everything complete inside. I think the ext4 accompanied with all the sensors (especially the accelerometer) and some other new stuff worth a new version  //Off During this wait for new Android version I have the longest uptime of WinMo of 12 day and continuing lol Edited March 3, 2011 by surenz

Guest surenz Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Update available. In the update file I don't see the Changeset 79 differences reflecting the change in the keymap files. Is it forgotten?
Guest Shadowlord666 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 For some reason, the new update is not working here. I've replaced the zimage and put the o2b2update.tar.gz to MyStorage. I've restarted Android already three times and the o2b2update.tar.gz file has disappeared (so the update should have been applied). Sensors are not working. And Android already crashed two times by now. It was running fine before the update. Is there anything else I need to do? Am I the only one having problems?
Guest bofff Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 There is no need to quote whole. Everyone can read ;-) Any tip for those who have it on ext4? Will new zImage work or we have to update system with o2b2update and new recompiled version of new zImage?
Guest koko5800 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 is there any final solution for the sleep of death (SOD) ?
Guest slmz Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 I tried isntall in Ext4 directly and it not worked.
