Please tell me how you get it work? What did you install?

I have "Files:

beta1024.zip ........ 1G partition image ( new version : 2011-01-18 12:35 CET )"

from http://o2droid.phj.hu/index_en.php, and accelerometer dont work.

I have just pun the new files (zImage, o2b2update.tar.gz, the sh and whatever was more) on root of my storage and started android again.

First time I got the kernel panik, removed battery and start again....and it worked like a charm.

I will see from now on :(

THANK YOU DEVS!!!

Don't forget to execute the .sh file from the last update,then you can install application called Quick System Info and you will see that all sensors are present,before the update only 1 unknown sensors was present.I am using ext4 filesystem and it seems that sensors work :(.

my Elixir shows the following sensors:

1. Accelerometer;

2. Magnetomeret;

3. Orientation;

4. Orientation (again);

5. Temperature

The rest: not available:

7. Gyroscope;

8. Light (@DEVS: it is suppose to work?);

9. Pressure;

10. Proximity (@DEVS: same question).

Thank you!

OK, it seems to work now!

Apparently there was no "o2b2update.sh" in the update*.zip I had downloaded. I've downloaded the file again - now it's working!

@alexovy: I'm having the same sensors available in "Elixir" now.

yeap...the speed is noticeable.

From what I read, I think you did it correct.

I did the same, only on my storage.

Light sensor works - just check ie. putting o2 to the bright lamp and then back.

Proximity sensor not yet.

how do u install o2b2update.sh manually through ubuntu? i have the same problem as sinistersky, installed on mystorage ext4 and always had to manually extract updates onto the phone using ubuntu (putting o2b2update files on mystorage doesnt work)

edit: nvm i got it to work. anyways to anyone who had the same problem as me:

1) copy out o2b2update.sh to ur home folder in ubuntu

2) open o2b2update.sh and edit the 2nd line to /media/disk/system/lib/hw

3) in terminal type "sh /home/(user)/o2b2update.sh"

unplug ur phone and then it should work.

8. Light (@DEVS: it is suppose to work?);

10. Proximity (@DEVS: same question).

The Android part of the light sensor not implemented yet ( the lux data you can reach from /sys/class/lightsensor/switch_cmd/get_lux) , but inside the lightsensor module implemented the auto backlight feature ( and set it on in init.rc ), so in strong light there is a brighter display as in winmo.

Same true for the proximity - working on the Android interface.

thank you for clarifying this. You are doing a great job.

You should put a "donate". Probably most of us will use it :(. Especially after the first stable release.

I updated my beta1 to beta2 with the update. I did not da a fresh install.

Now the update didn´t work.

I had to rename the update files back to o2bupdate.tar.gz after this everything worked fine for me.

So for everyone who has not done a fresh install with beta2 you have to rename the updatefile to the old name!

Nice work so far! Thank you!

I installed the last update and all worked fine for about 5 minutes.. (including sensors)

But when I open the dialer, all stopped working..

After starting the android again it wouldn't go pass the boot screen so I guessed maybe there was something wrong with 2D/3D drivers (I already had this problem once after some update)

So I installed 2D/3D drivers again and now its all working fine again

I am not sure if after this update things got smoother than before or anything but..

1. Accelerometer (working) *tested on homescreen and some apps

2. Compass (working) *tested with catch.com free compass app from android market

3. Light Sensors (working) *tested by putting the phone very close to a lamp

Also, I don't want be annoying or anything but since me and other people here only have 1gb sd card, if it's not asking too much, I would really love that devs would also release a 512mb beta2 installer (instead of only the 1024mb one) like you guys did on beta1

Thanks for all the hard work, things are looking pretty good :(

As far as I remember bsbsbs has already written, that he and phj are not working on android for money...

Time is always one hour late on every reboot

What time fix? Time is ok...

I guess by time fix he meant that since (well, at least mine) android is unable to get the SIM card information, we are not getting the correct time for our location

Like me for instance, when I open android, my current time is always 3 hours ahead of the actual time (even though my GMT (-3) for my location is correct in the settings)

because we are starting from windows...the time is always change according to the time zone difference.

For example, if I set in windows 20:00 then I start android, it will show me 16:00 because of the time zone difference. If I set the clock in android, then I have the vice a versa in windows.

This is not problem. This is difference how WM and Android calculate time. Just install clocksync to automatically update time from ntp servers.
