same problem here, ext4 on my storage, rapid's drivers, CLEAN INSTALL.

copying again doesn't solve the problem.

with stu's drivers i get SOD sometimes even with setcpu installed. -.-

hi there, i have a problem in battery drain... it drains too fast, 10% per hour. i did a fresh instal in sotrage with beta2 and 3d lib by stu_2k1, made ext4 and applyed last update with sensors working, good job guys.

how can i solve batteri drain?

in battery details andoid system uses 99% off the power , very unusual. i dont have SOD and dont have setcpu instaled.

i got one more little problem, i can boot android wen it is not conected to usb ou power.

this update works great for me, phone runs quite fast now and there is almost no cell standby (none or around 2-3%). however, i noticed something:

i downloaded android booster and memory booster(not sure if this is the title but something like this) from market. here is some data it displays with all apps not running:

total ram: 165 mb

used ram: 83 mb

free ram : 82 mb

does anyone know where the other 81mb of ram went? a hundred pages back or so, i've read that some of the ram is being used by hardware. if that is the case, what is using 83mb? im assuming its the android os but i think 83mb is probably too much.

AFTER 2 DAYS of using the update from 03.03.2011 on ext4 on My Storage, fresh install:

PROs:

- autorotation is working (only to the left);

- light sensor works, somehow, when in bright light. Really good when you're outside;

- is faster and more stable then the older versions. After 2 days I got no "Wait/Force Close" messages and it didn't stuck (except for the freezes);

- "time without signal" dropped significantly;

- "cell standby" also dropped down...actually I don't know if that's good.

CONs:

- booting android looks like a matter of luck. If I restart it, 3 out of 5 times it will stuck before android logo, or freeze or restart;

- if it boots correctly, sometimes is running 5 minutes, other times 20h and then it freezes. Again, for no reason, normal use: browsing menus...etc;

- I have tried all CPU and 2d/3d drivers, same things happens;

- sometimes is freezing right after I plug or unplug to/from charger or laptop;

- SOD with the original GPU and CPU drivers. I didn't notice it after updating the drivers;

- temperature sensor: Elixir shows that is running, but it is not showing any temperature. Is anybody else getting the temperature?

- radio and music stops when phone is going to sleep. I have to unlock phone, stop and restart the radio/music again, otherwise the sound is muted;

This is my experience so far.

Im a noob here and not sure if it's my problem but I am also getting a blank screen before the Android Logo flashes.

I managed to install the 512mb beta and then once i tested to see if that was running i placed the 3d drivers (o2bupdate.tar.gz) in my storage and then rebooted, I'm not even sure if it unpacked it but it booted up and then the file disappeared when i checked my storage (hopefully this means it installed).

I downloaded the update (update_20110303.zip) and replaced zImage, placed o2b2update.sh, o2b2update.tar.gz into my storage and ran haret.exe from root then freeze. poke reset button (behind cover), reboot back to WinMo and then retry haret.exe and still no Android logo. to be precise when linux is doing it's thing the screen goes dimmer and then after "17.082606" the screen just goes pure black and no response. Why is the phone passing out?

I paid a little attention to the boot log and it said "User id not setup" around the "4." does this have to do with anything? I haven't setup the gmail account cause I don't have wifi here and no data enabled on my account.

If someone made a 512mb version this would help out a bit so we don't have to go through extra steps and mess up along the way and have no clue whether its the new update or our poor attempts to make 512 work.

How are you guys getting this to work on 512 only?

So I did skip a few steps, I installed two updates "o2droid.zip" then "o2bupdate.zip" and then reinstalled the latest update "update_20110303.zip" and everything works except it's not registering to my network. When I Search Networks it only comes up on Rogers and mine is Bell. Going to reboot and see what happens.

This should hopefully help the people that are trying to get this to work. Considering I'm using 512, the reason why the 1Gigger's can't get it to work could be because they have not fully cleaned their last installation and applied the no sleep updates.

My experience after 2 days of using android with the new update:

-for now just 1 SOD after 9h of running ( but if I want to wake the phone, I must hold lock button then power off buton and then cube, very strange )

-last night I turned on airplane mode with 7% and after 9h30min 4%...

-I've just installed advanced task killer,call light app, some widgets and games...

battery:

-android system 83%

-phone idle 12%

-cell standby 6%

Installed to my storage with raptor2k3's tutorial(EXT3)

I've also noticed when I boot android, I don't get the animation ANDROID, but instead a image ANDROID and underneath an ERROR ? :(

(when the phone is charging I can wake it up with lock button, no delays)

agreed with compass..but not gsensor..my gsensor work normally.. :(

Getting a problem downloading from AndroidMarket.

The error notification just says 'Download unsuccessful'

Using my WIFI and the web browser is working fine.

Tried reboot a couple of times but no difference.

Any Ideas anybody?

when i start the phone , it didnt ask me to key in the sim card password.

when i press on the search network , it show error while searching for network

when i press auto seearch network , it show ur sim card does not allow a connecttion to this network.

when i want to turn on the wifi , it show unable to start WLan

any wrong with my phone or something else?
