I made 6 phonecalls, played a games about 20 min, surf about 20 min. But, repeat, hate to use CallLight! :D EDIT: I can see that dev's are here, so...Thank you guys! Guest ashburn Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 (edited) I still believe we need call light for Phone issue's, if you recall without call light you cant talk for more then 10sec or so. The phone will somehow hangs up the call or you won't hear anything after that. anyway MyLockGuard is to stop from SOD (kind of a temp get away measure from sod). I have just reinstalled everything from scratch on Ext4 My Storage Beta 2 with only the 20110303 and 19032011 updates plus myLockGuard. Prior to reinstall I was having multiple SOD's per day but now 2 days of running the current install and everything is rock solid and the droid wakes up instantly when I press a button. As for phone calls, I have no need of call light. The screen blacks out during call but I have had ZERO drop outs, whether receiving calls or making them.

If so there is a chance that the init.rc file in the root of your ext partition needs to have the line ".........kop5 storage" changed to ".......k0p1 storage" as the fat partition location would have changed if you have formatted my storage. I found that the updates were not installing and I had to do it manually until I changed this line in Ubuntu. You will need root access to save the file though so type "sudo nautilus" in the terminal window which will open the file manager up with root access.
Guest adaze Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 after 3/19 new kernel my phone is draining battery in about 2-3 hours and it's very very hot on it back...why ?? before it's very well no problem...and now this... Ditto, although my battery seems to last 8-10 hours. Gets really hot on the back even on 2G only, no wifi etc.... and just in standby.. This thread is sooo long i've probably missed something....

Yes, I have installed it in My Storage, and I have installed all updates .tar.gz, but now, I can't install .sh updates. So i still believe that all of us here still need call light for phone calls. can confirmed no need to use Call light or Keepscreen any more to avoid the the call from drop by itself after a while.. just need to install and initiate the app.. I did include MyLockGuard in Advanced Task Killer's 'ignore list' so that it will not auto close the app since I set the Autokill level in Aggressive Mode.. Wonder how some people here can solve battery drain problem.. I get through this forum and found that most people who had no battery drain problem usually install their droid in ext4 partition. so this might be one of the factor. I tried to change the 'phone' and 'csc' part.. but the result in battery consumption is still not good as some peoples here.. what i found here by changing those part in Winmo it make my Time Without Signal to 0% which is good :D
