ashburn..? Which package do you use? Is that installation to SD card or My storage? If it is for My storage, why don't you do a installation with one SD card, and then, when installation finnished, try to put another SD? :D And what difference are between beta 2 (provided by Almar) and that package that u use? Faster, more stable...? I tried a tons of different launchers, themes...but most stable and the best is a Launcher Pro! (off topic a little bit) B) Found a lot of diff docks for LP, but have no idea how to install them using ADB....because all of them are .psd files....any idea?

[]Failed to execute /init. Attempting defaults...

[]Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel

Then freeze.... Any ideas, or is it a reinstall?!

Before this every time I started Android I was getting a warning on the "Android" logo screen *#9900# dump log or something similar. Only difference it seemed to make was the the Anrdoid logo didn't "glow" whilst loading...

Dude, you have problems with the file system. The best thing you can do is to reinstall Android using EXT3 or EXT4 filesystem.

The other option is to try recover Android. "#9900 dump screen" is displayed because /data/system/packages.xml file became corruped and was rebuild by Android causing permissions issue.

If you wish to face the challenge read through the following links :D

Follow the instruction on the page.

Press *#9900#* at phone. You will see menu and you can copy dumpstate or disable debug log. After that it should be removed.

EXT4 + FS (kpg700/neok_om2android_beta2p_ver32stts) + kernel 1903 (for European Omnia 2) => file image fs.iso

1) download http://www.multiupload.com/FPZ86ULH0T (200M)

2) unpack iso_kor.rar (500M) to Storage Card :

\Storage Card\iso\fs.iso

\Storage Card\iso\haret.exe

\Storage Card\iso\sd.cpio.gz

\Storage Card\iso\default.txt

\Storage Card\iso\zImage

3) Start \Storage Card\iso\haret.exe

OR

2) unpack iso_kor.rar to My Storage :

\My Storage\iso\fs.iso

\My Storage\iso\haret.exe

\My Storage\iso\default.txt

\My Storage\iso\zImage

3) download sd0.cpio.gz

4) copy sd0.cpio.gz to \My Storage\iso\sd.cpio.gz

5) change in \My Storage\iso\default.txt : Set initrd sd.cpio.gz to Set initrd sd0.cpio.gz

6) Start \My Storage\iso\haret.exe

good luck!

P.S.

For change fs.iso from Linux:

( if

set in phone "USB FLASH MODE"

connect phone to PC

mount phone to /mnt/sd0

then: )

#losetup /dev/loop6 /mnt/sd0/iso/fs.iso

#fsck /dev/loop6

#mkdir /sd3

#mount /dev/loop6 /sd3

........

change

........

#umount /sd3

#losetup -d /dev/loop6

#umount /mnt/sd0

Thanks you for this

asking again, using the system with iso folder stuff, if using the "my memory" version, will the Haret create a linux partition on "my memory", will it destroy data already stored there?

Posted

Damnit !! I don't know how you guys are able to get a stable android setup. My setup ( followed exactly mishatir's post on MyStorage) keeps hanging up. Not just SODs but even the usual freezes while using the phone. Also gets really hot. What am i doing wrong? Please help :D

Maybe try checking some simple things. Like GPS working (depending on location settings it can be enabled by default after first startup). :D Then it's installing to My Storage that reportedly is much cooler than Storage Card.. Then it's screen brightness and of course what apps are running on the phone (I found Skype to be particularly unfriendly for battery and heat) B)

an update file has been posted on the previous page, correcting that issue.

New question, does this version run completely from the ISO folder we copy, or does it create its own linux partition?

I ask, because I would try to use the "my memory" version to see if the wakeup issue exists too

It is used only fs.iso.

Partition EXT2 isn't created.

Thanks, it work great (in stall in my storage card). With root explorer, I can change key as per your suggestion. :D

To be able to change time zone, I have put o2b2update.sh from 08-02-11 in the root (same location as system folder). Have to change number from 1 to 0 in sh file. Then execute it from root explorer. Reset, you can change time zone after that. All other update can do by using root explorer.

sam what do you mean with this same location as system folder i have put it on iso folder but i can find it anywhere

I've been running the Beta2 (19.03 - 1GB) update, which pretty much has been fine save the battery drain. Today tried to download 2 apps from the market, but they never downloaded or installed, just disappeared. Tried a reboot and now freezing on:

[]EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked root device...

[]EXT2-fs mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended

[]Freeing init memory: 140K

[]BFS CPU scheduler v0.310 by Con Kolivas

[]EXT2-fs error (device mmcblk1p2): ext2_checl_page: bad entry in directory #2 : inode out of bounds - offset=0, inode=3795845132, rec_len=152, name_len=144

[]Warning : unable to open initial console.

[]Failed to execute /init. Attempting defaults...

[]Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel

Then freeze.... Any ideas, or is it a reinstall?!

EDIT: Dump txt available HERE if it is any use to the devs....
