Install program root explorer, so you can modify the init.rc. And you can just replace the files with the update one from .tar.gz. Also, you can run .sh file as well to be able to change the time zone in your iso.

I have modified the init and i have execute the .sh files

but i cant open the .tar.gz files and extract the content and replace the files, can you tell me how i can do this ???

press MENU (border/right/bottom key)

press Setting/Настройки

Settings:

scroll list (down)

press (image - A) Language & keyboard/Язык и клавиатура

press (top line) Select locale/Выбрать регион

I did it in PC by usibg 7zip to open archive or you can use winrar.

or

dowload gzip for windows

for *nix:

tar zxvf file.tar.gz

hello guys

I am a newbie. I have installed android beta 2 on my storage using unbuntu

But i am not knowing how to apply the new kernels.

I tried to update by unzipping the new modules and replacing them on ext2.tar file and also replaced the z image in root of my storage.

but when I run haret from my storage everything seems to go ok until it reaches "ok Pc transfer start" and then the screen goes black.

Can someone please explain the right way of upsating to new kernels.

all I have to do is to copy o2b2update.tar.gz from post 5058 and the new z image to my storage and it should run fine.

1. SettingsProvider.apk setting changed(automatically update time, no need o2b2update.sh)

(if not change time automatically, then airplane mode on/off)

2. added some permission xml files

3. working only camera preview(can not take picture)

but using aspectcamera app, you can take picture but quality toooo bad

4. performance, stability, battery optimize setting added on mount.sh, build.prop, init.rc

5. cpu clock

lcd on -> 133mhz,800mhz

sleep -> 133mhz, 266mhz

6. framework-res.apk changed (Black theme)

(buttons resource -> korea GalaxyS2, check box -> korea GalaxyS 1, popup window -> NexusS)

7. DVM Library - ARM11 Optimized JIT for spica v.8.13(JIT enabled)

8. graphic driver mix fix3 for spica (excluded libsurfaceflinger.so, because sometimes boot problem)

9. keylayout file is s3c-keypad.kl , not qwerty.kl

warning!!!!! it's not tested on i8000

no need to replace the module files rightly in ext2.tar,the update of o2b2update.tar.gz will take the role of it,if you can successfully run android before this update,then all you need to do is just copy o2b2update.tar.gz from post 5058 and the new z image to my storage and click run

Anyone tested kgp version? Is it normally work with euro i8000? Or need some more tweaks? And is it a version for instalation on SD or My storage? No problems with recognizing SD card? Thanks!

Working here with i8000, zImage 031911, install in ext4 under ubuntu, testing now...

Edit: Oh! Very good, much stable and fast, Sdcard recognized ok

I had install android on my storage...but trought ubuntu, not SD card. Now I have SD. So, do I need to delete my android which is installed (all partiotions created manually) and just use these files + zImage 031911 + mix drivers and install running android from the zero? I guess you must install it from scratch, just untar ext2 on media/disk in Mystorage ext4 partition reformated.

I didnt change nothing, keylayout is like always. Just some words stay in korean, but a few ones.

Edit: Got freeze browsing menu back key (like always) I go change kaylayout to xiangliang it enable back button on lock screen button.
