Guest xudsa II USERT Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 The download link works, it is just slow and you have to keep trying. It took me a while to get a connection. I guess many people are trying to get there hands on the new Froyo to test it out. (My download says 4.5 hrs to go, and I am on ADSL2+ !!) Patience! :) Hmm... I get about 240kbps here. Took about 10min?
Guest ashburn Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Okay now there's another problem. My phone hangs at init: /init.rc: 280: yser option requires a user id _[/codebox]

Guest mavado Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 at the begining, i installed the old 3/2D and got the same error as you do. but with the new 2/3d driver from http://www.filesonic.com/file/732622911/o2b3update.tar.gz, i successfully boot it up. so use this new 2/3D patch. Thnx for the driver, solved the boot problem. Original 2d/3d drivers (from main page) are not working. Dev's thanks for this update!

Guest mrozek Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Okay now there's another problem. My phone hangs at init: /init.rc: 280: yser option requires a user id _[/codebox] What partition table you have on your MyStorage? Where are you going to install FROYO: sdcard or MyStorage. If you have MyStorage with only 2 partitions: 0p1 (WinMo) and 0p2 (ext4), then give a try to MANUAL install. Follow the steps below: - [Linux] untar ext4.tar.gz to the ext4 partition (e.g. /media/disk_/) - [Linux/Win] modify 'startup.txt':
Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 init=/init"
- [Linux/Win] copy 3 files: haret.exe. startup.txt and zImage to your WinMo partition - Important note: [Linux] untar o2b3update.tar.gz to your ext4 partition (auto update didn't work for me!) - go to WinMo, run haret.exe. - Be patient... Have fun. Worked for me from 2nd attempt (1st was with auto update from o2b3update)
Guest mrozek Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Hmm... stuck at request_suspend, despite using new 3D driver Try to untar 3D drivers manualy, then boot Froyo again.

Except i copy everything instead of copy 3 files... i will try to delete the file and see what i can do.. edit: i have the request_suspend_state: wakeup issue now. With new 3D drivers also it shows me that. Edited April 18, 2011 by ashburn

Check if you have all the files in the /system folder on your ext4 partition. Good luck.
Guest mavado Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Ok, thanks, trying now.. Edit: Still doesn't work, I'm using My Storage manual installation, any help? Thanks! I first installed the old 3d drivers...but didn't work, then installed the new 3d drivers and this worked for me using the sd card installation method. But untar should work also. Maybe try both the drivers ? don't know if the same files are used.

Guest mrozek Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 OK will try, thanks! It might be wise to make another attempt from scratch rather than mixing gfx driver files.
Guest alabama20 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 It's so nice and it's run from my storage... but now is slower than eclair but that doesn't matter... Big like for Froyo :)

Guest l3ong91 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Anyone manage to find their SD card after rebbot back to Win Mo? Because I can't find my SD card directory after rebooted back to Win Mo...please someone try
Guest dimon40001 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Can't open ext4.tar.gz under Ubuntu Live 10.10. It says gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data, format violated tar: unexpected EOF in archive Archive is good, tested under WinMo with 7-Zip. I guess, I should update tar/gzip version in Ubuntu? How?
