Thanks developers your froyo is working very well I am very happy :)

I manual install to ext4 partition in SD card with 2d3d update from XDA forum with the SD card patch (vold.fstab + init.rc (but I have to change "mount vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /storage" to mmcblk0p5 to be able see the storage)). I also implement kgp700 optimization in init.rc and mount.sh.

For the one who have camera botton problem, the key layout is in s3c-keypad.kl in system/user/keylayout so you can replace the file/ content with the qwerty.kl that you prefer.

After several boots, which I have to update the time every time, now the clock on my status bar is working correctly after I set the time.

For install a big file game, I follow instruction of unmount SDcard, install and mount whihc work very well. I have try PES2011, it still too slow too play but, this is the best one for graphic compare to beta2.

Since yesterday, there is no SOD and freeze, thie speed is improved after implement kgp700 optimization.

The only problem I have now, is google talk and market down load.

PS, I have try quato7906 together with above update as well, it al wrok very well. I did all update by using root explorer.

all people, status bar clock is working on froyo??

clock is stop

Clock does not stop, just the status bar does not get refreshed.

Use a clock widget to see the correct time.

For all who are tired of using Ubuntu,to make My Storage installation,do this:

1.First download this and unrar it to the root of My Storage as is.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LMDVA130

2.make sure you have at least 1,2 GB free space on My Storage and copy the file fs.iso from here to the \iso folder.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5LAOKBYI

3.start haret.exe from the root of My Storage & enjoy the new Froyo.

rooth.th.jpg

The 3d drivers are inside, also calllight and task manager.iso file is 1,1 GB now for more apk installation space :),also trick: when you istall some apk's ,just copy the fs.iso file to your hard drive to have a backup if anything goes wrong, just copy the file back to iso folder :).

Once again many thanks to all developers who are making this great work for us.Regards.

Hi guys,

I manually untar the ext4.tar.gz to my storage ext4 partition and put the zimage etc.. to my storage, but I keep getting "permission denial" and keep looping, what happen ?

Try to format to ext3 and make manually install with UBUNTU. I have same this problem when i have ext4 format and i can't start FROYO. With ext3 all things are OK.

EDIT: All one that have auto install on SDCARD, have a ext2 FS, not ext4 FS, this was with me and some one over.

Can you explain how did you set DNS to allowed? Because I enter number like you and don't know what to do?

My froyo has the same problems like eclair.

1. I takes about 5 seconds to wake up after I pressed the unlock button.

2. Battery still drains very fast when using the phone, but its good when it sleeps.

I manually installed on mystorage. Is it better on sd card, or with the iso. installation. Any experience?

I put Toggle DNS check to allowed if that's what you mean and I still cant connect to google account

once you dialed the number... Click on phone information scroll down if you can, look for " DNS Check something or Check DNS something " i will come out 0.0.0.0 Allowed.

Someone mentioned to have about battery 85% left after 11 hours of use. It should last at least a whole day, else it is useless. I know for sure that it can last 2 days on some versions. I'm just talking about the i8000.

Unmount the sd card in Android. Then try installing the apps or games that try to install to sd card and they will install elsewhere. Worked for me with Angry birds Rio on market.

Also note that the "install any application off the market" is deselected in this version by default.

So I've tried installing it on my Omnia 2 but no luck so far...under Ubuntu extracting the tar when copied to the ext partition doesn't work, I keep getting errors about no permission and also something like "cant make symbolic link to". That last error is directly translated from Dutch so I'm not sure wether it is the right translation :)

And if I do the following:

1. Clean out SD card using Settings> Memory Settings> Storage Card > Format in WinMo mode.

2. Download Froyo Beta 1 here.

3. After finish, unrar it.

4. Download 2D/3D libraries files provided above.

5. Make sure that it was renamed to o2b3update.tar.gz

6. Placed the o2beta folder, ext4.tar.gz, haret.exe, startup.txt, zImage and o2b3update.tar.gz in root of My Storage.

7. Run haret.exe from My Storage> o2beta folder.

8. After auto-reboot to Win Mo, start haret.exe from root of My Storage.

I get this:

haret.jpg

Strange, now market is working here, too.

I was having problems with Google Talk (google talk authentication failed).

Don't know WHY it is working now, though...

hi brother,

i think there might be a mistake with the description and the right one should be " 85% left after 11 hours of SLEEP" :)

so pls do not believe it....the one which only eats 15% battery after 11 hours of use has not been created yet! (unless it uses nuclear power....)

and about for two days, ummm.....it can be true under some circumstances and mostly depend on the frequency of using.

as my phone, 1 hour GPRS internet, 2 hours music with earphone, 10+ texts, 10+ minutes phone call, 1 hour game, it can last about 12 hours.

so basically, I can consider that the battery drains rate is normal for the I8000 now...

I am the guy that said that my phone lasted around 11 hours and lost 15%. I still did not recharge the phone and now it's at 71% battery life. I am just about to leave home and play non-stop music on it haha :) Will update soon =)

I've bought a new batery for your phone right? A batery with a larger capacity ... =0

That can't be true ... I'm just using the basics of my phone (call, sms, some data connection) and it lasts for 13 or 14 hours!
