Guest msamitahir Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) I changed the /mnt/sdcard to /sdcard in init.rc and vold.fstab but installation of angry birds is still failing. I still had to unmount the sdcard to install the game. Do you guys still want this change in the iso ? I have uploaded the fs.iso file with market fix again (same files as before). The links are http://www.multiupload.com/QY3Y1SI9N0 http://www.multiupload.com/6O7C3YI7JF http://www.multiupload.com/TUD0KNLVSF @Kanwar You can install angry birds rio from the market or can download the apk file from the net and install using QtADB (requires USB drivers for android) USB drivers can be found on this forum Edit 1 You will also need to unmount the sdcard. Goto setting than storage than unmount sdcard After installing you can mount the sdcard again Edit 2 If you are still having trouble downloading from market using iso do the following Goto setting -> application ->manage applications Under downloaded section select market and select uninstall update It will ask you to confirm click ok It should resolve the issue (Unfortunately it keeps on updating market) Regards Sami Edited April 24, 2011 by msamitahir
Guest msamitahir Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Hey I tried to install froyo too on my omnia 2. and I think i've done everything like it was said in the turturiol. But when I boot Haret.exe from the root of my storage, it starts loading linux but it's stuck at: request_suspend state: wakeup (or something like that) with high numbers like 2xxxx and 3xxxx after it. Anyone faced this problem too? and if so any solutions? You need to install the 2d3d drivers. A user has compile the updates so far in this file http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=attach...st&id=71894 You can place this o2b3update.tar.gz in the root of My Storage than run Haret.exe

Guest Extremegmx Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Can somebody share TouchWiz 3.0 or tell me which version he is using ? Yesterday somethind odd happen. Before I went to sleep the battery was 60%. This morning I wanted to wake the phone but the phone was turned off and the battery was 10%. Was this a SoD or what? If this happens one more time, I can confirm that after 3-4 reboots the phone gets very often SoD. :) (Installed to SD card, because My Storage didn't work properly for me.) Can anybody share his experiences with the new ISO method please(battery,market,sod...) ? Thanks! :)
Guest TRoN_1 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 If I am using fs.iso, can I update by placing o2b3update.tar.gz in the root of My Storage or /iso folder or do I have to rename the update file? Thanks
Guest Shadowlord666 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 I still can't access my SD card. Last thing I've tried was this all-in-one-update-pack which had been posted before, but it didn't change a thing :) Oh and btw. I had my first SOD in Froyo today :)
Guest msamitahir Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Market works fine with this iso? And is it 1GB version or 512MB like your old fs.iso files? When u extract the files its 1gb Market works fine. Though some users say it does not work on second boot. I suggest to use wifi for market instead of mobile data Edited April 23, 2011 by msamitahir
Guest Speedfrog Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 @msamitahir Do you know how i can use My storage for the Camera, Gallery, music and any other program that need a SD card?
Guest eskyo Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) there's no solution for sdcard problem for me :) I've tryed everything : - log in google account at first boot - log in trhough youtube app - replacing init.rc and vold.fstab - some update files posted here related to the problem - unmounting/mounting SDcard (this works but not always... and I can't stand going on setting for every app I want to install) I only haven't tryed quato's method but I got not enough space un my memory... I think I'll wait till next release ... this one was so close to perfection :) Edited April 23, 2011 by eskyo

Guest omgeee Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 For those who still having problems with SDCard (mounting) try to put something on ur SDCard (some files ~200mb) after a fresh format. I had the same issue in the first install so i reinstalled and it works. Some infos: I'm using a Primary Fat32 formatted SDCard.

Guest sgoo Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 May I know what software you used to pack tar.gz file? Wanted to create an update by myself. In Window$, I use the internal packers of "Total Commander"; you can manage the archives like simple directories :) .

Guest Chloe42 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Its good to know this is also working for other users. For those using Quato's fs.iso, i have applied this update to his fs.iso You can download it here http://www.mediafire.com/file/1z091asou2f7...froyo-fs.7z.001 http://www.mediafire.com/file/cbmz479sb3.&...froyo-fs.7z.002 http://www.mediafire.com/file/97x1y4pgrlc8...froyo-fs.7z.003 Additionally you can also update by extracting the o2b3update.tar.gz file on your computer and copying APK files to system/app folder on the android using ADB Android will install the files automatically. Regards Sami Bonjour, Merci for your files but i don't know how can i install to "/Storage Card" ... Thanx in advance. SHIM
