KDE isn't something whic can be used to install android. KDE is a window manager for linux, and he just used partition manager gui which is available in kde (or rather in linux).

yes there is one

edit the file in /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl (make a backup before)

chwon 1000:100 & chmod 755 /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl (adb shell or or linux-box)

that should help .

i have mapped only 3 keys on my B7610 because the keyboard drives me crazy

the key's on my B7610 are totaly diffrent .. it should work better on a I8000

tellme for b7610....my keys doesnt work good like back key sometimes doesnt respond at all

How to make the WinMo Back button (now Search under Android) to Home button:

You'll need ADB.

Copy the unzipped qwerty.kl inside the platform-tools folder under the ADB's folder.

Issue the following command in a command line:

adb push qwerty.kl /system/usr/keylayout

Restart the Droid and You'll have a Home button.

Have fun!

qwerty.zip

In your windows/linux where you have adb installed.

@Rapid81: good work! I think that even when camera will be working we do not really need hardware button for it ;-)

Push Windows+R and type in "cmd", then navigate to the mentioned folder (platform-tools under the ADB folder) and issue the command there.

I think this is from the difference between the I8000 and B7610. I'm not an expert in linux, just a beginner.

yes, the b7610 key's as are total out of control :)

to get the CALL & HOME (the one in the middle of the front) get to work i've had to recompile the kernel

i realy do not know what i have done ... but it works

i have reducedd my qwerty.kl (ext2 rootfs: /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl) to just 3 entries

CALL,HOME & UNDO (from the keyboard right beside 'ALT' on my qwertz-b7610-keybord)

and the jou must correct the ownership $ permissions of the qwerty.kl (that seem to be very important!)

anyway .. i do not know if you want to play with my kernel ... i do not know how old the source (rev 53) are

regarding to the updatet zImage on the project-side .. so ... if you know how to change permissions and ownership on the

android-roofs and you also want to play with a (possibly) older kernel .. i can send you my kernel & qwerty.kl via pm.

but it's not a good idear to put it here

Tested with a non-HC SD 1 Gb: NOTHING CHANGES. I just don't know what else I can do.....

I can't stop thinking about what has changed after the hard reset.

Ideas will be welcome.

Thanks.

Im having the same problem. but i dont think the problem is the SD card, as haret.exe didnt make any partitions in my SD. so I guess there is a problem accesing source fils before installing

may it be an issue with partition type (primary/extended)?

now I have only one FAT32 primary partition in SD and internal memory, and it cant be mounted, i'll check later with an extended partition

BTW, does partition label matter?

ok i think thats the problem, as the install says "mmcblk0p5 cant be mounted" i think its looking for an extended partition.

the primary partition should be mmcblk0p1. isnt it?

is there any way to fix this without reformat?

in default.txt form o2beta folder theres no entry for partition path

Check the \My Storage\log.txt after an unsuccessful installation process. You'll found useful and detailed information in it.
