No need to reinstall the previous zImage: I just extract the beta, overwrite the zImage with the one from o2droid.zip and install regularly: as soon as the phone has booted, I shut it down and insert the GPU patch, restart, be done with the setup, restart again and then choose default action over Setup Wizard.

Voilà ;)

Still no luck with USB tho...

yes but now i reinstalled the previous zimage for the battery problem

You need to remove all the partitions from the SD card and format it as one partition (FAT or FAT32).

Then you format the my storage (don't delete partition, just format) and copy the beta to my storage.

Next, you launch haret.exe from my storage 'O2beta' folder.

If it does not install, delete the partitions again and try to format from winmo.

After installing from O2beta/haret.exe, launch the haret.exe from the root of my storage.

anyone knows how to remove all the partitions from the SD card and format it as one?

im using windows 7, tried the disk management but it is gray out. Tried diskpart in cmd but did not work. Other than ubuntu is there other programs i can use?

Free edition works wonders ;)

As for the battery problem, I'm just coping with it and toying with Android for now - waiting for Beta 2 at least before making a complete migration.

I've got big problem.

I'm using android since beta relase, and after 1 day of using it just killed my 4gb SDHC card (PC and Omnia II can't see it)

Now I've got same problem with my old 2GB card, is it possible to make both card work again?

#sorry for my English...

Hi all,

I saw that in the \sd folder is a file called Phone_I8000XXJA1.bin.

It may be related to the operation of the phone part? If so, can upgrade it to the latest available JJ1, how? simply replacing the file with the new one, or replacing the file and renaming it JA1?

Sorry for english, i'm italian

The phone radio's baseband works at an independent level from the OS, hence it doesn't matter what is in the \sd folder but what has been flashed to your terminal with Octans. Perhaps it's just a suggested flash or a leftover from almar's dev setup, anyway you can freely upgrade to JJ1 like I did.

Also, another "bug": after plugging the charger in, I can't see anything in the "Battery Usage" screen. More of a nuisance, but whatever ;)

No one with a solution for USB connection? Also, anyone can advise on which GPU drivers to add? CPU too, but those on post #900 destroyed my android installation...

what kind of usb-connection ... mass-storage?

adb woks well ... (most of the time)

so you can pull and push to the rootfs & /sdcard

android freeze quite many time.. normally when installing new application and everything that using keyboard such as messaging, search in market, signing in google n etc..

my droid setting:

Boot : from my storage

MyStorage partition: /disk0 1024MB FAT cluster 32kb (primary type) & /disk 1024MB EXT2 (logical type)

SDcard partition: FAT 32kb (primary type)

MyDroid: beta1024 + o2droid update (I guess this update includes zImage and 2D/3D patches)

I also gets the same problem like yours. I install Android OS on My Storage. I'm still unable to solve it, so I'm also waiting for newer version of beta.

Looks new! Has anybody try it already? ;)

Would only be of use for people like Tom3q or ginkage unfortunately :-(

If someone experiencend would take a look into this code, he could propably optimize some things.

But as long as this not happens, it's useless :'-(
