Guest hanming Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 can someone help me to solve this problem? When i tried to follow the youtube installation guide of how to install android into my storage, i got an error said that "081f-000D could not be found" therefore i could not use gparted to resize my partition. I did put my phone into mass storage mode. I don't know what is wrong with it.
Guest TheSamuray Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 would somebody please point me to an app with wich i could copy contacts from my sim card to the phone?? it won't let me copy contacts the old fashion way...it says i dont have any...but i swear to GOD i do have them on the SIM card.... ;)( please Go to ActiveSync then press Menu>Configure Server Type your GOOGLE E-mail address then press Next Type (m.google.com) in the Server address field brackets of course then Next Type your User Name & Passwrod & Type (Google) as a Domain then Next choose what you want to sync and then press Finish Settings for each content .. for example the Calender sync(s) only the last 2 weeks by Default Now your PIM are stored in Google servers and then you can restore them to your Device under Android easily (as I remember it was possible to do in the first adjustments after first launch of the system) but you need to have a working internet connection .. This is the easiest way i used & ther r another ways to do it ,, especially is u need the sms as well Best regards

Guest Pete B Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 (edited) This is what i did... after unzip ext2.tar.gz into /disk, i change default.txt line to "mmcblk0p5", then I run Haret for the 1st time... after android boot n i see setup wizard, straight away shut it off. Then, now i copy new zImage (29/1/2011- 1.89MB) + o2bupdate.tar (Rapid's All In One) into root of "My Storage". Run haret back.. wifi, google contact, market (after uninstall update), browser..all works.. but..android normally get freeze when the keyboard is supposed to appear..so messaging , search in market, twitter n facebook login process.. this where android had frequently get stuck.. - Well I reinstalled the original Beta files of Android on my storage - Booted Android and all went well for the original beta file install - Closed Android down straight away - Copied the new zImage file over to the root of my Storage - Copied Rapids all in one installer with Launcherpro into the root of my storage But for some reason none of the update doesn't install the files nor does it delete the o2budate.tar.gz file. I have checked the system folder and they have not been copied. Any ideas? I have always just put the o2bupdate.tar.gz files in the root of my storage and the files have been copied over on first boot of Android with the o2bupdate.tar.gz file being deleted afterwards. I knwo the files can be copied in manually but that doesn't fix the underlying problem of why the installs aren't happening on boot. Edited January 30, 2011 by Pete B

Sometimes it goes wrong when you save it... (in my case it saved it as a *.tar, and it's hard to spot the difference)
Guest one-turk Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 formated my storage and storage card to fat16 to fat32 on both systems krenel panic error it worked before
Guest Pete B Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 just do a couple of more reboots I have rebooted probably 6 times and still no change so unfortunately rebooting looks like it doesn't help. Be sure it's still a tar.gz, that's a problem I had. Sometimes it goes wrong when you save it... (in my case it saved it as a *.tar, and it's hard to spot the difference) I have made sure the file extension hadn't changed and it is fine. I also tried another one of the o2bupdate.tar.gz files and they don't install/copy over either ;)

I receive many letters I read in Georgian Georgian sites. big request help
Guest Rapid81 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Here. Like I said, you need to put it to \My Storage, start the droid, then restart it, and after that, you'll have haptic feedback. ;) Update 31/01: Phj asked me to update the update. ;) Now only the vibrator.ko is loading in, in the init.rc, because there was a reason why the modules loading went to the loadmod file. If you installed the version before this, then install this, because the original version may cause some trouble when you'll use updates what'll update the kernel or modules. Vibration update updated!!!
Guest vivek raja7 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Vibration update updated!!! So now do i have to download the 512 mb partition again?????
Guest vivek raja7 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 i have a question why does my battery get hot when i use android???? : D
Guest carlospaco Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 it's a script, not really a update for the beta, however thanks devs guys do you know how see the storage (internal storage) folder in android wifi manager? and how add songs from that storage in poweramp?Hello, maybe its a stupid question, but for what is that update? Its saying about app rooted on android device. Can somebody tell a little bit more of it. Like some examples what it will do and for what it is needed? Thanks and sorry for my english. I do my best ;)
Guest mat9v Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 About battery life: Yesterday I charged battery full (or 65% as it would go no higher) and left the phone unplugged for a night. About 6 hours later my alarm woke me up (worked well, no time difference or anything) and the battery was at 53%. It's a big difference since under WinMO the night means 1-2% of battery life. I started battery use applet in settings and it repored 49% Cell standby, 48% Phone idle and 3% Android system. I have a Temp+CPU V2 widget installed that reports (correctly from observation) that CPU does indeed downclock to 66Mhz when idle. So it seems that the phone does not enter deeper sleep states. Maybe that's why there are no problems with waking it up anymore. Anyway another phone I have (cheap LG GT540) a native Android device in comparison with what we have here is soooo smoth. I know it's hard to make a port of a whole system and I'm forever grateful for a difficult work devs did but it shows how much is left to complete. That LG hardware is far behind our Omnia2 and yet is much more responsive. I hope it's possible to get a full Android experience on Omnia2 someday ;) GREAT WORK DEVS!!!
Guest Rapid81 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 So now do i have to download the 512 mb partition again????? Why? Just put the file to the root of My Storage and run the droid, then restart it...
