Guest BaltazarPinto Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 3G works but lost access to wlan, says that it is unable to scan for networks and disables wlan. At least it is a step closer to a full working android. Back to the last version.
Guest Pete B Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 I don't understand. On http://o2droid.phj.hu/index_en.php: 2011-01-31: Update!!! The GSM data network working. The o2droid.zip file below contain the latest kernel, modules, patches and applications from Rapid and Voyteckst su correction. Two lines down there's a link to the o2droid.zip (note: changed:2011-01-31). BUT when I download this file, it seems to be identical to the original update from 2011-01-27. Files inside zip are dated 27.01.2011 and its content seems to be absolutely identical to the file I've downloaded a few days ago. Installed in anyway, but GSM is not working. Also: Does the new update contain ALL previous updates? Is this the only update needed when I completely reinstall android (using beta1024.zip)? I don't need to install Rapdid's all-in-one update before, do I? Edit: OK, I've switched website to Magyar verzió. Now the file seems to be OK... Will install now... I still get the same file from either site. Even the file creation dates are the same as the 27/1 for me and not 31/1
Guest Shadowlord666 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 OK, I've installed the GSM update, but it isn't working for me. ;) It just won't connect to the internet. Is there anything I need to setup in the Android settings? My network provider is O2 (Germany).
Guest longsin Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 please write your process, how install and setting?
Guest wuzzy Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) BOOYAH!!! 3G is working (orange romania) speed test max is 45KB/s so probably not HSDPA/HSUPA. Thanks DEVs, your all amazing. I had to manually input APN settings. P.S. HSDPA/HSUPA now working, enable it in winmo setting. Edited February 1, 2011 by wuzzy
Guest slmz Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 check that http://code.google.com/p/apndroid/ different version list http://code.google.com/p/apndroid/downloads/list Thanks, but I dont know if I'll update, waiting for more users comments.

Guest TIEfighter Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 It feels as fast as on my WinMo Rom... Have not tested Wifi up to now. THANKS to the devs! really? I´m only having a very slow connection, and just a "G" connection, although i should have 3g coverage...can it be caused by my APN settings?
Guest aerovolce Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 how fast is it on your phone? I'm getting Edge just as I do on winmo.
Guest TIEfighter Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 I'm getting Edge just as I do on winmo. oh, now it´s just G in winmo too, and on my friend´s phone as well...so I guess our provider has some problems :-) nevermind, thanks for the quick replies!
Guest one-turk Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 guys what are you guessing will it work 99% on commng weeks other wise i will trade my o2 with a android phone. but if android works on o2 it would be superb
Guest manost Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Someboby know if theres a kind of "Nodata" for android, it"s realy important for me. Even though you can have the internet connection disabled from the Android settings menu, you can either download from Market the free app called Data Mobile Controller or APNdroid. Both apps are changing your mobile's APN settings to fake while are set to off, so internet connection is not possible. While you set them to on the are changing APN settings back to correct automatically.

Is there anything I need to setup in the Android settings? My network provider is O2 (Germany). So you are all downloading from here???? http://o2droid.phj.hu/index_en.php and clicking the link in the text "you can find here: o2droid.zip changed:2011-01-31." The files size and dates are the same as when I downloaded the 27/1 and have tried a different browser in case it was a cache thing. Surely I am not the only one who gets exactly the same file when its downloaded. Can someone who has 3g working check the file they downloaded with the previous one? I'm sure they are meant to be different sizes or dates.

We shouldn´t put additional pressure on the developers, they´ve already done so much for us :-) If you´re not in a hurry to buy a new phone, just wait and see how it develops

But apparantly switching to the Magyar website wasn't the reason for the successful download. It seems it was because I was using a download manager. When I use "Orbit Downloader" I get the new file, when I use Firefox, I still get the old file... But 3g still isn't working though. Need to check out that APN setting... Edit: Found the right APN settings. It's working now! Big thanks to the devs! Edited February 1, 2011 by Shadowlord666

Guest contable Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Thanks to the devs ! APN settings for T-Mobile Germany: Name: T-Mobile Internet APN: internet.t-mobile Username: t-mobile Password: tm Authentication type: PAP => press menu button and save... After adding the APN settings I suggest to reboot...

Well I used a work colleagues computer to download the file and his computer also downloaded it with the two files inside dated 27/1 and exactly the same size as the previous update. So it is not a cache thing for me. Would someone be kind enough to upload it somewhere else? As this isn't a beta install file and only update files I wouldn't think it would be a problem mirroring it would it?
