This is not a good idea, because if something may go wrong with your WinMo, you cannot do a hardreset, because the image needed to it, stored on a hidden partition on My Storage.

Hi ! I did a mistake and deleted hidden partition on My Storage, which was used by WinMo to backup system after hardreset. What now ? Can I run Octans and upload new ROM ? Will Octans create this partition ?

Hi for all who want to BACKUP their WM Contacts and Import them to the Android here is a very easy solution:

Download,find or buy this program(costs about $4) :

http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/pocket-pc/dow...ard-expert.html

1.Install it to your WM Omnia II-->run vCard Expert->go to Send Contacts->Options->Save all ,and save the Contacts file to SD card like : contacts.vcf

2.Run Haret & start Android --> go to Contacts -->Menu -->Import Export->Import from SD card -> import one vcard file -->select your contacts.vcf file and you are ready!

(or you can install vCardIO.apk and import the same file to your contacts).

3.Advanced: When you finish restoring contacts to Android, with the Root Explorer program (phone must be rooted to do this) go to: /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/ and copy the file contacts2.db to your SD card, and when you for some reason have reinstalled android you dont have to do all these Import Export restore actions, only copy the file contacts2.db from SD card to: /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/ and you are ready!

I found these ways far too easy Exporting and Importing Contacts rather than syncing with Pc or Google servers,or trying to connects with usb drivers and etc.

Regards,

Ekremsky

Finally, I figured out how to set simple WVGA wallpapers for background on the doird's Home. :D Yeeehaa!

The magic words are MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. :P And it changes the wallpapers in a given period of time from any folder or album.

Other:

Anyone has any solution to get back the original ringtones and notification sounds after the 31/01 update? The droid listing the ringtones and sounds from the SD card only. It's a little disturbing.

3G data connection is too slow. I try to download Opera 10.1 beta from Market. 1 hour it takes to download 1.2 Mb of 6 Mb. Is this normal for this Beta version?

In WM I have 1 Mb/s download speed for this connection.

Do you have flash player 10 on Opera 10.1? One of reasons I don't like WM is the fact that Adobe discontinued updates for Flash player.
