Anybody has any clue what are the localization files in the droid? I want to use my own language in it, but I downloaded many full ROMs and I couldn't figure it out what are the language files.

If anybody has a framework-res.apk from an Eclair, Multilingual, Spica ROM, I'll buy it!!! :P :D

This is not help. To support your language, you need to remake original framework-res.apk. If we just copy it from another build - we got "untracked pid" error..

It very ugly process... :P In complex: you need multilang apk (with your language) and native apk from our build. The point is that we take values of our language from multi apk and copy it to native apk. Then edit some xml files... I don't know, may be there is another easy way to do this.. By the way - we need to remake many apps, not only framework (phone, setting e.t.c) if we want full language support. I'm localize it on Russian (partialy), but only developers can explain this question fully and complete..

Because there will be new android 2.1 beta with more updates than kernel/modules (eg. framework) and it will be simpler to distribute.

Be patient ;-)

Ok rooting one more time:

I did clean install with all patches applied manually (without libdvm only) and under ubuntu:

cd /media/disk

cd bin

rm -rf su

ln -s ../system/xbin/su su

cd ../system/bin

ln -s ../system/xbin/su su

chmod 6755 ../xbin/su

After reboot I've got root working (checked with SetCPU).

Ok! Rooted here. I made after reboot androis and its work too (needed sudo for the last command).

However the updates (automatically) dont working still.

sleep and alarm...so no battery fix yet?

Battery and charging is also fixed - recheck trac. And if sleep is fixed, it also has impact for battery, becasue whole s3c6410 (without its some parts) goes sleep and battery isn't used much then.

@slmz: new beta probably will be rooted

Hi Guy's,

I have a Problem that windows need's a driver for "S3C6410" and can't find them. I have done all the steps from "ADB Installation and usage tutorial" but always this problem. When i select "do not search driver, select yourselve... "(i have an German windows version and translate in own words) I take the "android_usb.inf" from "...\samsungADB\usb_driver\x86" and windows request, the driver haven't information about the Device (S3C6410)... Whats wrong?

I've insert a pic in this post, please take a look... install driver for S3C6410

I was curious about the bit about the battery charge "even though it's not true", what does that mean? Is it related to the power management sensor on the motherboard? Just asking for the technical details, not an ETA on a hypothetical fix :P Oh and as a sidenote, I somehow get the feeling that Samsung started hiring REAL coders only starting from the Galaxy S, just look at the mess the WM I8000 drivers are!

I'm already using Android on a daily basis to great success, can't wait for multilanguage.... and, well, Froyo :D Wish I could help with something, I'm skilled in web engineering/site building only I'm afraid

Did you input some like this "sudo chmod 6755 /media/disk/system/xbin/su" ?

Its after "cd" command for to go to the root of disk
