Guest Dario93 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Can we have V3 for christmas? ;) Actually,I don't know. Now I have more spare time,so I can give help to Harness,to make developing a bit faster :)
Guest Andrea1Liquid Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) yes, I'm tonno16, I wanted call me with this nikname but it was already used. I understand, but where do you leran all java language? If I port the source code of this rom to my prof, he minimally doesn't knows anythings have you got any idea to start learn to progamms? what books? Ooooh. We're not programming. AOSP (Android Open Source Project) is the source of the android operating system. We don't "program" android, we "cook" it instead. FroyoMetal is based on the interface made by Acer for their Liquid Metal. Only Acer has the source code. Basically what Acer did is taking AOSP and make it running on the hardware that Liquid Metal used and then create a custom interface (Acer UI or Breeze UI) on top of that "naked" android. We took that cloth and mixed up with froyo .bins. We don't program java, we take, mix files. We even compile android (we are going to do this with Gingerbread source) but we don't edit the code of AOSP. We don't own the source of this ROM. This is Acer's propriety. I'm deducing you're are frequenting [iTALIAN]un liceo con indirizzo informatico[/iTALIAN]. Maybe you can talk to your teacher about AOSP. Android is based on Java, but I think it's too big and "touched" so much that you'll end up with different arguments. Honestly, I don't know how to program in Java (some very very very very very basic knowledge on android application programming) XD Anyways, take a look at AOSP :) Edited December 19, 2010 by Andrea1Liquid
Guest Intenso74 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) Yep,17 years :) Thanks, which forum? This method should work also for this ROM, some users reported it was working fine ;) Thanks, that method worked. Once. However, i have about 400Mb of apps, so i need to be able to send my apps to SD about 4 times... Is there a way to do that? Also, the program gives the error busybox not found a lot, but I have it installed...? Thanks, xIntenso Edited December 19, 2010 by Intenso74

I'm reading this http://lukasz.szmit.eu/2009/12/making-your...ndroid-rom.html but it's so hard install linux in a virtual machine with network. about the rom, I'd like to help, even if that day when I'll buy a desire, I must collaborate with other people. (I write like a pig) So, Thanks Dario93 for message, I hope to lear with speedy. For me it's sufficient cook a rom, not read a source code of android 2.2 (example) But if the Rom, had the camera which doesn't work, If you cannot write java code lines, How can you replace the camera.apk with working version without rewrite souce code of this app?

Ok. Better not going too much OT. Anyways, yes I have some knowledge, but I don't want to program so I didn't read any book ecc...Btw, good luck for the school and if you have problems you can ask :)

Guest Dario93 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Yes , I've same bug :'( If you can't perform a Nandroid backup, before performing it wipe cache, this should solve the problem :)

Guest Harness Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) Thanks very much :) I will try to find a solution for the nandroid problem ;) Stay tuned for V3!! :D Dario Follow my mounting/chmodding steps while booted into your phone, not into recovery. I mixed up the instructions when I told Dario because I'd had it fixed for days before he asked. Harness. Edit: I'm home! I spent the weekend at my dads with my girlfriend, but I'm back now. Back to tackling that to do list. Gonna catch up with my group members and go from there! Edited December 20, 2010 by Harness

Guest dieghito Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 dario if i want the camera of this rom in my lcr, i only put the file camera.app of this rom in my directory \system\app? camera.apk o not?? I find an important BUG. I try to conncet acer liqudi with pc on with ADB. all ok writing adb devices, and all ok writing adb shell---->it write in output "$" normal. but If i write su, the rom says "permission denied"
Guest tayshun12 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Well,to be honnest, I'm not good at Java..and actually, it can be useful (such as AuraxTSense) to fix bugs related to sensors/GSM etc.. I will send you a PM with some start points to cook roms ;) @Dario93 I would also like a PM on how to cook roms. I am new to programming in C3 and Java, but i'm sure I could be of some use! especially with time and practics. I am no computer novice, so now I am taking the next step into movil development. I've bought books on programming for iPhone in the C language, and i'm the do and learn type of person so any information you have would be great! also just finished school so I will be putting this at a high priority :)

Guest Intenso74 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Just read previous posts.. Use this method for APPS2SD: http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...royo-superboot/ I tried that method and it worked the first time. However, i need to send my apps to SD about 4 times (400MB +) and it doesn't work anymore after the first time I use it. I followed that guide exactly over and over again. Could you perhaps figure out how apps2sd works in LCR and implement that in FM 3.0 (Or even 3.5/4.0). I don't know what the LCR team does, but it works very well and it's very easy too. Is so want this to work... it would make the rom near perfection. Thanks! xIntenso

Because the script installs a boot.img that doesn't work on froyometal
