Since I can't find "acer setting" application, I dunno how to turn off the GSM network or how to change it to 2G only. 3G drains

my battery like hell. So anyone knows how to change the network setting without using acer setting?

very simple, go Setting -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Network Mode :(

Dario, i don'k now if you have already solved the Settings>Audio>Volume FC, but you'll solve it replacing Settings.apk with the one of the Metal dump :(

Do you have any hints for a working Apps2SD? I've tried with both 2.75 boot and the other boot in first post, but both of them will cause bootloop ;)

I'm working on A2SD with a few beta testers atm, trying to iron out the bugs. As far as the Volume FC you're getting, I don't with 2.75 full.

Could you add the same battery indicator as in LCR (Percentage inside a colored ring) into V3.0?

I don't have the volume FC.. it was a bug of the first releases if I don't get wrong.. However,I will check :(

I'm using the Lite version and I have that problem. If you aren't using Settings.apk from Metal Dump, please use it anyway: it has better translations for Italian ;)

Sorry, we forgot to include it in 2.5 and 2.75. Someone provided the modified framework-res.apk, i need to find it again :(

Well we already removed almost all the unuseful apps from 2.75. However, I think V3 won't be divided into Full and Lite,but will have only the essential apps ;)

We're not rushing it. We're ironing out as many bugs as possible before we release it. After I get this A2SD junk dealt with, I'm pretty well set. I've just gotta finish setting a custom sensitivity on boot script in the ramdisk.

Good idea, we can put all the extras in /data so who's not interested can remove them

I'm currently compiling v3-beta. Trying something fun with A2SD, then figuring out something with GScript.

Edit: Whether this will be the actual v3 RC or not is up to Dario. I created my working folder some time ago, and most of the things I wanted to do were scratched off my to do list so I figured, time to compile.

Edit2: For simplest A2SD support, I'm going to have to include GScript in the OS. Sorry guys, but it's the easiest way for everyone to be able to use A2SD.

I flashed this ROM yesterday and everything runs smooth, however - I'm having major RAM issues as with every other 2.2.

Am I the only one running on Liquid non E?

How does everyone get it working smooth on Liquid? I assume next release will be same RAM-wise?

Shall I flash the boot.img in post one to get swat partition working? Will it help? Really annoying when foreground apps shuts down because RAM runs out...

In the first lcr-f version it was set aggressive, and for example the browser was killed many times.. then malez got better memory settings in later versions..

swap could be unuseful.. as the integrated task killer will not close background and unused apps and causing lags in the graphical interface. Ramzswap perhaps could be a solution (like it's set in eclair roms), but I've still not seen froyo roms with a kernel that includes ramzswap support.

Edit3: May have found issue. We'll see. I reduced it down to 36mb, will that be enough for you guys or do you need it even lower?

Edit2: Found them, the lowest value is set at 12mb. I'll poke my nose around though.

I'm always around 20-30 MB in free RAM. Have tried with both Acer UI and Android UI/Launcherpro with this ROM and stock bin. Always the same. Keeps shutting down Maps and other hefty apps.

I have tried some different settings with autokiller as well but with no sucess. I'm also trying to minimize the number of widgets I use, I guess widget locker is the only luxury I use that requires a bit of my RAM. Almost about to buy a new phone just because the RAM-issue because I love my Liquid but have got used to Froyo.
