Just downloaded v2.75 lite today. Love the speed and the functions.

Keep up the great work.

Just noticed 2 things, 1. Bluetooth voice dial is not working. 2. Top row of the calendar is grey out. Just wondering if there is something to fix that or will those be fixed for v3.0?

Love the ROM and looking for v3!

Just one thing: the boot animation.

I don't like offensive things, especially for a thing that many people, with different tastes, use.

I'd prefer a more personal animation, like the CDT logo.

But that's just me. =)

Keep up the great work!

Assuming you have 2.2 (as this ROM would work on any Acer 2.2 firmware I think),

Install MalezRecovery- http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/

If you have a Canadian Liquid E, you might need to follow this guide- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...z-recovery-fix/

Once you install MalezRecovery, place the .zip on the first post in this thread onto your SD Card (just on the root of the SD Card, not in any folder).

Reboot into MalezRecoery (instructions on how to do that is on the MalezRecovery page linked above).

Go to "Flash/Test Menu"

Select "Flash Zip From SD Card" (it is signed, so choose the first option)

Select the FroyoMetal zip and flash it

Then reboot system and voila.

Word of warning, this will clear the Google account of your phone and wipe all your apps/text messages/calls etc. So make sure to find some app to back those things up (there are a few on the market tht works without root, Titanium Backup is the best if you are rooted already)

Removal of an app in the lite version causes it now that I think of it.

Progress is reasonable on v3. Still debugging however. I can't personally compile AOSP atm to get the dialer, but I'll see if I can get it out of a team member or another rom.

I successfully compiled AOSP Gingerbread: I can give you the dialer :(

Dialer and Contacts both, if you wouldn't mind. I think there were some people asking for both. I'll just script it in to make them exchangable.

First, upgrade your phone to 2.2:

1. Find the .bin you want (go to the section for 2.2 official ROMs and find one for the Liquid 256MB RAM. - http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...act-collection/

The ones on the bottom are newest. I'd recommend 4.002.14.EMEA as FroyoMetal is optimized for it. But it can be installed on top of any Froyo .bin.

2. Follow this guide- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...-acer-liquid-e/

If anything goes wrong, read this thread- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...-please-sticky/

After you upgrade to 2.2:

Install MalezRecovery- http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/ (if you installed the Ferrari bin, install the special Ferrari recovery)

Once you install MalezRecovery, place the .zip on the first post in this thread onto your SD Card (just on the root of the SD Card, not in any folder).

Reboot into MalezRecoery (instructions on how to do that is on the MalezRecovery page linked above).
