Guest fear_factory84 Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 How we can bug acer? Sending emails to the technical support?
Guest koudelka Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Does this mean official Acer kernels have fast dormancy feature in their kernels? if so that's pretty cool. I read about this in the news about iOS having it and thought if only my Android had it too... Dormancy (and fast dormancy) is a common solution for saving battery life on the phone and also it helps keeping the network not having as much load as without dormancy functions. This is probably implemented by most phones smart or not. However if you do it wrong (go to sleep in wrong moments) you will end up using more power and put extra load on the network. This is what apple did and it is a part of the reason why att in us had some network problems in iphone dense areas. This has since long been fixed now but it would not surprise me if they advertised dormancy as something new and fancy when they relesed this fix.
