Well... not here here, but the vega's been delivered to my home and is now being

dutifully watched over by the missus. Just wish work would finish now, argh!

Well out of the blue I got a 'dispatched' email. So I checked the DHL site - This was at about 17:00 yesterday:

Current Status Date Time Signatory Branch Comments

Departed Depot 21/12/10 16:36 HATFIELD TERMINAL

And it hasn't changed since! I've tried ringing DHL not got really bored of listening to hold music.

So since it's left Hatfield, where could it be now? ;-)

I feel your anxiety - my DHL status (on the webpage) had not changed from "Home Delivery - 07h30" yesterday,

until... well, right now actually - after the Vega was delivered 3 hours ago. I called and called and called DHL,

took forever before finally getting through to somebody this morning, but the person I spoke with knew where my parcel

was, and gave a dead-on accurate time for delivery today... I'm nearly done at work, so will be hoping and praying

the whole journey home that the unit delivered is in full working order :)

Mine was out for delivery yesterday till around 1pm then was delayed due to adverse weather til around 12h30 today when it arrived back at the depot. A minute later it was out for delivery again but no sign of it yet...

Cmon dhl sort it out

Gutted.....DPD tried to delivery my Vega...when everyone was out ! Going to have to wait until tomorrow now. :)

Still no communications whatsoever after ordering last Saturday at one minute past ten.

They've given an order number and taken the money from my account and have told constant lies since.

One said that DHL have it but no details available and when I rang again later, another one said that

it was still in their warehouse.

They've promised to send emails on six separate occasions with no results.

Obviously not before xmas now.

PC WORLD are appalling and I will never darken their doorstep again.

Only wish I'd gone for the Ipad as I originally intended . . . . . .

Have faith - Ordered mine Sunday as well on PCW, no emails at all, but when I called they said it had been shipped!

Now writing this on a patched up tablet and loving it.

Yes, it arrived today, thanks. The packing tape has damaged the faux leather case so that will need to be exchanged.

An evening setting up awaits!

That's not standard, he must have ordered it in addition. If you do decide to order one there are various alternatives, including one for £9 from eBay

I have done so before. Phoned the depot and took ID and tracking number. No problems.

After a missed delivery on Tuesday mine turned up yesterday as we were going out. In work today and busy shopping to night. Damn christmas no time to do what I want. Ah well I suppose it is my christmas present so will just have to wait. :)

Am definately going to cough up for the performance pack as by the sounds of it it is well worth it. Also shows appreciation for the work Paul has put in

Well i got a call off a DHL driver this afternoon and got him to drop it at a local businness, must say it is pretty excellent :)

Will play for a bit and might see about loading pauls rom tomorrow.

Got the case exchanged at the local PC World today.

After ordering last Saturday and not one email and no tracking number - only lies and promises everyday - not even a reply (other than an automated one) after emailing DSG head office, I got back on and cancelled it.

Will be interesting to see how long it takes to pay the money back into my account - if ever.

(of course they promised to email me confirming it today and guess what . . . .)

I was watching a video of this and can you tell me if the Advent Tablet switches screen orientation depending on how you hold it. As the one in the video did not as you can clearly see.

After having to return one, my OH ordered from PC World on Saturday at 16:00, then managed to bluff that I was not going to get it this morning!!!

Please to say that it arrived Tuesday and was under the tree for me this morning..... just escaped from wrapping paper swamp ( aka lounge ) to flash Paul's new rom....

Yes it does but there is a screen orientation lock switch which will be why it didn't change in the video
