Guest Harness Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) Nowaday we try to do a gingerbread rom and not a froyo rom  the Roggin CM is very very fast so now we want a gingerbread rom fast like roggin CM and full HW working Slightly ingrateful. Froyo still isn't completely finished, why push to an even less finished distribution. Harness. Edited January 3, 2011 by Harness
Guest Koki1337 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I just tried it. This ROM is so lite that it doesn't even have Gmail or Maps on it. I love this! On LCR-F I uninstalled all crapware they gave and I have no free space on internal memory. With this I have like nearly 40MB left
Guest merirosvo Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I have install this kernel on this rom http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...ing-to-help-us/ And it seem works great  Quadrant 1090 at 880MHz \o/ I love . drain battery seem very good , 45 min with wifi surfind on net + flash video = 8% B) OMG ^^ Very good ! ^^
Guest vikings123 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I just see the message of Aux who speaked about T&L rom in the thread of ram optimizing . I wanted share with you my first impression about this rom and I think it worth a new topic: -very smooth -fully customisable: nice choice of theme, android or acer UI, -all hardware functionning (wifi, bluetooth, tether... all!!) -no O/C (or at least i didn't find it!) It's one of the best froyo custom rom I ever tried. So here is their site : http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=199557 The site is in russian, so use google translate if, like me, you don't speak this language. PS: Thanks to Auxx to let us know about this rom. Battery drains very fast...

Guest LoganX78 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I have great problem with froyometal with memory: always low memory and system kill a lot of my process automatically. How is memory in this rom?
Guest Koki1337 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I have great problem with froyometal with memory: always low memory and system kill a lot of my process automatically. How is memory in this rom? This one is really has no problems with the memory IMO It has no apps in it, just alarms, settings and some basic apps like contacts and dialer. Nothing else. I rather start off from here rather than having a lots of useless things like Navigation that doesn't work on my region at all
Guest thepasto Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Is APP2SD (old metod via malez recovery) working? It'isnt hard to fix.. if you want and developers agree, I can post the solution.
Guest thomas.chini Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 for me, froyometal is faster. I'm looking forward for Froyometal v.3 to come out as I have used it for a long while with satisfaction. Anyway I must say that for me this ROM seems to even better in terms of smoothness and stabity. I found out that Froyometal has some bugs and sometimes some lags, maybe due to the memory issue. Yesterday I flashed this ROM, re-established the same situation I had in Froyometal reinstalling all my apps (almost 50 apps) through TitaniumBanckup, flashed some of the apps deleted from the ROM (FlashPlayer, barcodescanner, email, gmail, maps, street, task_froyo, VisualizationWallpaper, YouTube maybe some of them didn't need to be flashed), replaced the default laucher with LaucherPro and resumed all my settings. I even reinstalled the camera of liquid metal fashing the one for LCR and runs very well. So pretty much the same conditions I had previously...ah and here Calendar works correctly. As far I can see, everything run fast and smooth, no lags, no problems of hardware. I made a benchmark with Quadrant and the score is around 1070, maximum for now 1098, with froyometal was around 960. And this is (in both cases) without overclocking anything (i prefer stability and battery life...for now). I mean, for me this ROM is more than OK. If FroyoMetal v3 will be better and OC and App2sd are ready to go (I didn't manage to make them work in FroyoMetal) of course I will switch back to it, otherwise I think I can stick to this. Anyway I flash it just yesterday, so maybe some bugs are likely to appear sooner or later.

Guest Christoforos22 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I have just installed it. seems great and feels very smooth. the only problem is the one with the search button that fabbe79 reported.
