Guest thomas.chini Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 It'isnt hard to fix.. if you want and developers agree, I can post the solution. that would be great! with OC as well?
Guest nicknameless Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 ... As far I can see, everything run fast and smooth, no lags, no problems of hardware. I made a benchmark with Quadrant and the score is around 1070, maximum for now 1098, with froyometal was around 960. And this is (in both cases) without overclocking anything (i prefer stability and battery life...for now). ... I just got 1116 score without OC.
Guest Ze Mitras Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I don't know what do you call RAM optimization and a fast system but my best experience, by far, in both RAM optimization a fast system is roggin's CM6.1 version 1.2. I would like you to do this test (I call it the Angry Birds test): Open Angry Birds, now go to the main screen. Then go (resume) to Angry Birds again, and what happens? The phone closed Angry Birds and when you want to resume the game you have to start over. This is no multitask at all (wtf?! Have I bought an android or an Iphone?? :| ) You may think that it is not important, because you don't like to play games, and I say to you: change this example with Angry Birds and let it be any heavy app of your choice, when you receive a call the game/app goes down  With roggin CM6.1 I can go main screen, resume the game, and much more! I may have Angry Birds open and Dolphin HD browser open at the same time -> this is multitasking. I don't understand why the behavior on those roms is so different... This rom is great because is very lite, but in the RAM department it acts just like LCR-F, sadly B) I frequently do another test: Open settings-> apps-> services running. On the roggin ROM I get allaways between 30 and 40 MB of RED RAM, and the rest yellow and green. In this rom and LCR-F I get easily 50MB RED... I think this is the problem...
Guest lgcmn Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 It'isnt hard to fix.. if you want and developers agree, I can post the solution. that would be nice B) when i got home (in Russia we are still celebrating New Year)), i'll create a new thread and if u post a working app2sd, i ll include it in first post
Guest Varyag Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I just got 1116 score without OC. B) i just got 18 cm long without viagra
Guest nicknameless Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 i just got 18 cm long without viagra :o ahahahaha  Anyway even in this case stability is crucial B)
Guest G_Technik Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Ze Mitras, You don't HAVE to use this ROM! Nobody force you!
Guest thepasto Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 that would be nice B) when i got home (in Russia we are still celebrating New Year)), i'll create a new thread and if u post a working app2sd, i ll include it in first post  I'm already using app2sd in your rom .. I do not think there are problems. When you want, I can send you the fix. Just you let me know .. Have a good time!
Guest Ze Mitras Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Ze Mitras, You don't HAVE to use this ROM! B) Nobody force you! G_Technik and devs of this great rom, if you understood my previous post as an attack to your great work, I apologize to you! I really wasn't my intention! In fact I'm using T&L gingerbread edition, and I'm planning on keeping it for a while! Maybe my words were too strong and out of context, what I meant is that I don't understand why every acer based rom has poor RAM management, compared to roggin CM6.1. I don't mean roggin ROM is better than any other, in fact I still prefer Acer based roms because they are much more stable, and I prefer T&L rom over any other Acer based rom because its very very LITE. But I get the impression that in order for us to have real multitask abilities we have to "let go" the smoothness of the rom, and in order to have smoothness of the rom we have to let go the real multitask. In my opinion roggin's CM6.1 does this balance pretty well, it is the best of both worlds, but that alone doesn't make it a better rom. Hope to be more clear now
Guest mabar81 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Wich dialer is used in this ROM? Acer or AOSP? Thx
