For the build.prop addon it really makes a difference. Do you think its posible to enable JIT on this ROM?

After the build.prop changes I kind a ran into problems.

Have you tried the youtube player? I only get black and white picture and its kinda jerky, everything else its ok.

hm, got same problem, going to try the below and see if difference

dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=5m

dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=12m

dalvik.vm.heapsize=48m

never going to be possible to enable JIT as that was not introduced til 2.2 dalvik vm

the above fixes it, going to experiment with the growth limit and see what percentage turns Youtube black and white and jerky

found an application called cpu tuner on the Market, works well with the overclocking

interesting, curious what else can be modified on build.prop

enable JIT

dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit

disable JIT

dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:fast

we might need some libs as mentioned here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=659756

script here for G1 http://mdzulqarnain.co.cc/?p=298

found suitable files for JIT from another msm7227

we should just need

system/lib/libdvm.so

system/lib/libnativehelper.so

and in bin

bin/dalvikvm

then we just need

dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit

in build.prop

will need to wipe dalvik cache for it to work

booted, JIT enabled, that's a smooth speed boost

next job, grab the stagefright stuff from cm7 and see if it works on this rom

Greaty news Hectae, I look forwad to try your jit enabled modification. I was very happy with this rom and always ended here installing this rom and with jit enabled I think this will be flying. Do you get any force closes with some apps?

no force closes, you were almost there you just need to wipe dalvik cache in advanced settings in recovery

edit: seems to drain the battery

I will try this when i am coming home, and about the battery drain i will try to disable HW Acceleration and see how it will behave then. :D
