No alerts for sms or email

My i920 after a few hours of being on will stop making an alert sound or vibrate when a new sms comes in. If i restart it it will work fine for awhile then stop. It did it with the software version that came with the phone, as well as in its current setup, DG21 and a cooked 6.5.5 ROM. Any Ideas why?

No idea, I never used the phone's alert, I use Photo Contacts Pro.

Also, pls try a program called MissedCallReminder at XDA, it's very handy. The phone's alert only alert you when new messages come in, but if you missed on, it doesn't remind you periodically. This program does.

yes, same thing happens to me as well, the new SMS doesn't vibrate and the email doesn't notify me as well apart from the total sum changes.
