HTC LEGEND - How to back up

Hi,i'm italian and i think that i am completely newb about Android and HTC device but i have a big problem now.

I need to back up all data of my Legend but i dont know how ?! Witch HTC Sync there isnt seems to be any option about back up so i am very confuse!

Now i use Froyo.

Actually i need only to save SMS and Contact becouse i can noproblem download again the apps and i have already save on my pc picture and videos

Best applications are Titanium Backup and MyBackup. If you likes to back up completely google for nandroid.
