Stock OC kernel V2 (for Acer based rom)

Hello everyone! Since this is my first post on this board i want to thank everyone for their contribution (coding, porting, gathering and giving information) to that great community.

Thanks ritchen and the other devs of this kernel!

I have used the "lcrf20_ritchen_921_v1" kernel before and it worked flawlessly.

I have just now flashed the "oc_lcr_new" kernel and so far everything works well except the OC

When i fire up the SetCPU App it lets me set the max clock speed up to 768MHz but not above that.

Ok as I write this, I figured out, that I had to change the Device form Acer Liquid to Nexus One in SetCPU to be able to change the value.

I will leave the prior statement in my post, in case someone else has the same problem :)

The earlier 998MHz kernel was not stable on my device and crashed shortly after my Homescreens and Widgets have loaded.

Now it seems to work with 998MHz.

I will provide feedback after testing the stability and battery drain.

----------EDIT-----------

Ok, 998MHz still crashes on my device.

I will try to find another setting.

What is the minimum speed you've set in Setcpu? I just set the minimum value to 245MHz, and set the govorner mode to "SMARTASS"

mmmmhhh.. I don't have the "smartass" governor in main page of SetCpu.... what's wrong?

With the SetCPU slider there is no way to set a max frequency value between 845 and 998 MHz.

Is there another way to set it to 921 MHz or other values?

Which OC kerenl you've fashed?

I have flashed the "oc_lcr_new" kernel.

Also ,you seem to have another SetCPU version running.

I will try to update.

Sorry to answer that, I am not using the LCR Rom so I can't have a try on it.

About the governor, I just found that the "SMARTASS" one is not that useful for me, since it can only reach a maximum speed of 768MHz instead if 960MHz(My Max)

So I rather change to "On demand"

I had the SetCPU version 1.50a running, which did not let my choose any values between 845 and 998 MHz.

I have installed the current version 2.10 and set the value to 960 MHz - seems stable so far.

I don't have the option "smartass" but all the others... SetCpu version 2.1.0. Well, no problem, I can live with "ondemand" :)

Is it worth increasing the cpu speed above 998, or at least giving us the option to do so?

Thanks!

Sorry, I think overlock above 998 won't be a good idea for battery and your device.

Like I say in my first post, this kernel provide you stable and battery optimize.

And I am really sure, all the necessery function are include.

If you need advanced using experience, you can consider about CM7

fair enough, would just like the option to experiment and test higher frequencies...

So is it any chances to have interactive governor? Or smartass?

I'll choose interactive in case of battery drain

using CM7 right now

for me 921MHz is all right for daily use and balance in both performance and batter drain

Thank's for the good work,

which kernel i have to flash over T&L with old app2sd activated?

See t&l thread for repacked update zips..

I've T&L without apps2sd . did anybody flashed the new version of OC successfully?

I use it currently with old app2sd, version with mt fix..

now is it possible to have usb host mode?

I think that there is no hardware support to do that...

really a GOOD work!!

now have everything working (thanks for tun.ko) and 998MHz cpu set via setcpu new version (need to update set cpu to get rid of 768MHz limit).

Thanks a lot for your work!
