I had the issue with the USB debugging showing with no icon for USB transfer. I went and toggled Tethering/USB, and got it back. I didn't have to have it actively tethering. I just switched on the option then turned it off. Worked after that.

I seem to be getting the opposite to this..... :huh:

I can't see the USB debugging icon, but I can see the USB transfer icon.

if i flash the new experimental rom cyanogenmod nightly 5, do i have to wipe the device?

In order to try the 5th nightly, you have to do this:

- Go to the search bar.

- Input key words (suggestions would be "wipe", "flash", "nightly", and "CM").

- Press Enter.

- Search for your answer.

Has anyone tried allowing the battery to drain to "0%" to see if the phone keeps on going?

I actually got stuck at 9% and couldn't get it any lower. It was going down about 1% a minute in angry birds, although unevenly, got to 9%, and it lasted like 20mins. Then I got bored and charged it up.

The google app - "Car Home" doesnt seem to work. It doesnt open up only comes it the status bar.

Everyone else the same. Know how to fix?

I noticed i had rapid battery drain too, on RC1, and Nightly 2. I flashed back to MCR( not important) and still seem to have rapid drain. What i thought it could be down to is that i never fully charged my battery when i came to flash RC1. I think i should've fully charged it (as in the method for resetting the Battery) and reset the battery in Clockwork. I'm going to try this, so i'll post back with any info.

Yes. The phone shuts down. Happened this afternoon. Even if CM is reporting the wrong battery percentage somehow, there's no point, Since the phone shuts down at 0 anyway. Have to see what the team makes of the battery drain issue.

Hmm car home does not work because car home is not installed only carhome launcher.

FWIW I plan on flashing nightly 4 combined with the kernel whatcolour built. I'd been holding off for a proxy sensor fix.

Car home can be installed by extracting the.apk from one of the 2.2 roms and simply installing it . I got it from JJ7 or 8 and it works fine.

I'm running nightly 4 and contrary to a lot of people the phone still only rings once but prox sensor/phone bug has gone. Strange, I'll see what nightly 5 does tomorrow.

The big issue is being fixed tonight (the inability to hang up the phone) but there are 20-odd other bugs on the bug tracker and you need to decide whether they matter to you! The only other issue that bothers me is the standby battery life being appalling. Others won;t be worries about that and will instead be worried about things that don't bother me. Only you can decide really!

I used this all over the weekend but in the end had to resort back to Pauls rom on monday. The rom is lovely to use but i had random freezes and slowdowns intermittantly and for me battery life was terrible. Ill flash this rom again in a few weeks to see what its like then.

so backed up my rc1 rom using rom manager, and flashed nightly 4 i couldnt the get a internet conection so tried to restore again using rom manager but it didnt work, instead just flashed a new rom :huh: now ive reflashed rc1 and im getting no signal on my network, not sure if its the newer clockwork so im going to flash back to an older one.

I think my new Blade will arrive tomorrow, gonna root it and flash it with this rom. Some questions:

- after an update to a new nightly build, do I need to wipe/flash everytime (and install the programs again), or can I simply update every day?

- Is this rom also available in Dutch language?

- Does this rom install apps automatically to SD card? If not, how to set it?

- Is the phone also simlock free with this rom? (I've read some ROMS do this)
