Does this explain why no matter how or how many times I download nightly 4 today, I always get an md5sum of f816d065a855b9529d4a3d221611b159 as opposed to acf6ba95d0ac0e4285f95d8a7de685c0 like it says on the download page?

Not only the boot.img is different, a lot of the files has been changed. In fact the build.prop of the newer file says:

ro.build.version.incremental=eng.cyanogenmod.20110222.190420

ro.build.date=Tue Feb 22 19:04:56 CST 2011

ro.modversion=CyanogenMod-7-02222011-NIGHTLY-Blade

The older says:

ro.build.version.incremental=eng.cyanogenmod.20110221.210922

ro.build.date=Mon Feb 21 21:09:53 CST 2011

ro.modversion=CyanogenMod-7-02212011-NIGHTLY-Blade

So it looks like it's the 5 nighly inside.

then with that boot.img proximity SHOULD be fixed since it IS nightly 5. The same kernel Jacbo supplied with the RC2 he sent me.

I just MD5's the Nightly4 and RC2 boot.img and they are identical.

I downloaded nightly 4 just after 6am (sad i know) yesterday morning. It boot.img md5sum is 45b943569121b203e9899cf439c25eaa same as the boot.img file just posted. my prox sensor has alway worked since nightly 4.

The mirror for the nightly downloads is currently not available on the cm forum.

I am comparing it to how it used to perform on different roms.

I have always had to charge daily, but the phone always made it to bedtime.

Now I am lucky if we reach 8pm.

I am not using the phone any differently.

update, use is 7 hours now and 50%.

Anyone who got HTC_IME to work with CM7 Nightly 4 ? I tried the version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416 but nothing happens when I select HTC_IME (input method) and try to click on a input field.

Use the froyo version from this very site. It's definitely lurking in search somewhere

Okay - so if I download cm_blade_full-4.zip and md5sum results in

then I can assume it has the proximity fix, right? :huh:

(Since from what I've read the kernel is the fixed one... Or am I missing something?)

With regards to the battery, I thought I'd try the battery calibration. When I turned the phone off after the first charge said it was 100% and plugged it in in the off state the charge light stayed red for 20 minutes before going green. Unless I'm mistaken... that means when the phone thought it was fully charged... it was in fact 20 minutes of charge from even being 90%?! Anyway, the whole process has been completed and the phone is now in standby for a few hours as a test. I shall report back if it actually makes a difference.

Cool! (Another way to tell if you have the original Nightly 4 or the new Nightly 4 is to fire up the browser: if the Eclair option is there under Menu->More->Settings->Select User Agent then it's the new one.)

Been reading the thread as its progressed and havent seen anybody else with this issue but...

Is anybody else not able to download from the market via wireless? Its getting a bit tedius seeing as i usually get only a 2G signal in my house.

EDIT: Wait, nvm... Seems its only when i START the download on Data and then try continuing on Wifi :huh:

Also, I feel the proximity sensor isn't very responsive. You have to wait about half a second before thr screen enables.

I added this to my build.prop: mot.proximity.delay=150

rebooted and it is much quicker to respond

Also, auto-backlight CM settings force close still.

Anyone else experiensing problems with headsets and bluetooth headsets (mw600) ? When I connect any of the devices I just get sound from the phone, eg music playing from it, not from the headsets.

I'm using ClockworkMod 3.0.6? Or whatever the latest version is. It doesn't matter now anyway. The file must have corrupted while I moved it to the SD. I moved it again and now I'm in CM7 :)
