Guest IronDoc Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) @Zythus: I think reboot-recovery is the line. Type 'adb' and it will give you a list of commands. I don't know how you expect to go back to froyo if you can't get into recovery anyway. You might as well just install the gapps once it's working again. @Not Hacker: Just try out different speeds. Worst case is a reboot; just don't tick 'set on boot' until you are 100% sure. Edited March 2, 2011 by IronDoc
Guest Vilppe Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) So if i do 806MHz, my phone will break? How much should i do for it to be stable? 750MHz? Every CPU is unique, others will do 750mhz, others just 650mhz. You'll have to try for yourself how high your CPU will go. Go too high and the phone will freeze and you'll have to pull out the battery, so until you know what speed is stable, don't set it on boot. Edited March 2, 2011 by Vilppe
Guest targetbsp Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 So if i do 806MHz, my phone will break? How much should i do for it to be stable? 750MHz? No-one can tell you how high yours will overlclock. Everyones is different. The only guaranteed speed is 600mhz. Try them out. Start low and work your way up - testing at each speed. Don't tick set on boot until you've found a speed that works and tried it out for a good while.
Guest bugeyes Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 So if i do 806MHz, my phone will break? How much should i do for it to be stable? 750MHz? it wont necessarily break(!) but it may well reboot which is where the ticking of set on boot causes problems!. start at 710 and work up, see what works for you and once you find a stable level then after using it for a few hours tick set on cpu. best of luck! and remember BEWARE SET ON BOOT!!!!
Guest jtc42 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Well thats weird. On N11 Im getting the contacts issue where it only displays numbers on messages and calls, not names. Did a full wipe, and its synced all my contacts. How odd O.o

Guest JimJam707 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Guys, do you know of any app that makes a WiFi Hotspot that works on CM7? I tried some but they all failed :S

Guest Pakatus Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Typed "cmd". It works... what happens when you type "adb remount"?
Guest Poodha Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Guys, do you know of any app that makes a WiFi Hotspot that works on CM7? I tried some but they all failed :S Wifi hotspot still doesn't work in CM7? Shouldn't it be added in "What haven't we got/ What's still broken?" then? I also checked the bugtracker, but only found USB-tethering missing. Hope they fix both soon, one of the reasons why I switched back to Froyo.

Guest Zythus Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Sorry bro, unplugged my phone already, and choosed restore... and now its standing on this green droid for few minutes... its not like last time, when I was restoring...
Guest Rotmann Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) Care to share how to do this mod? Read the first two posts Rotmann, but its alot of work to do now! I configured everything.. and next wiping? There is no other option to install gapps? Computer found my devicee :/ Sure there is, go into clockwork and flash the gapps zip. Well thats weird. On N11 Im getting the contacts issue where it only displays numbers on messages and calls, not names. Did a full wipe, and its synced all my contacts. How odd O.o No issue here. Sorry bro, unplugged my phone already, and choosed restore... and now its standing on this green droid for few minutes... its not like last time, when I was restoring... Switch the phone off, get into Clockwork (vol down + power) , wipe and format the system partition, try to recover the old ROM. Install titanium, back up ONLY USER APPS, copy the CM7 ROM and gapps zips to the card, go into clockwork again, wipe and format system, flash the nightly 11 zip and the gapps zip (no need to restart, you can flash them right away), reboot, in CM7 install titanium from the market, restore user apps, ready. If you have more than 20-30 apps and games you can apply the partition mod before flashing CM7 (in this subforum) and partition your card as a primary fat32 and a primary ext3 partition (second partition must be ext3) and then download s2e from the market and set it to install apps to the ext3 partition. You can partition the ext3 partition by Partition Manager in windows, gparted as a linux live cd (or from USB stick) or from clockwork or rom manager. Edited March 2, 2011 by Rotmann
Guest Zythus Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 I am trying, but I cant go into clockwork! It just freezes on green droid...
Guest Quu Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 I am trying, but I cant go into clockwork! It just freezes on green droid... Tried pressing volume down with power button...?
Guest Zythus Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Yes, phone starts and there is only green droid all the time.
Guest fonix232 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Yes, phone starts and there is only green droid all the time. This means recovery is dead, so it boots into fastboot. Try the fastboot method of flashing custom recovery, and try it again.
Guest tttonyyy Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Anyone else get random Wifi disconnects? I've not wiped since N6 so it might just be that.
Guest Totyasrác Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Nightly_11 finally 'speaks' Hungarian - wow
Guest Rotmann Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 I am trying, but I cant go into clockwork! It just freezes on green droid... No panic, get the partition mod from here (partition_1_136_319.zip), unzip it and put the "image" folder directly onto your SD. Put on the SD the CM7 ROM, the gapps and the latest Clockwork (recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.6-blade-update_signed.zip) from here.. Switch off the phone, switch it on by pressing and holding MENU + VOL UP + POWER untill you see some green text (on TFT models it may show nothing). Wait for 5 minutes, it will automatically reboot into clockwork 2.5.1.8. Flash the clockwork 3.0.0.6 zip you copied, restart into clockwork again, recover your ROM and so on, you know... the steps I wrote in the other reply.
Guest fonix232 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Nightly_11 finally 'speaks' Hungarian - wow  Indeed it does :) Amúgy a CM Parts Google fordítón lett átnyomatva vagy mi? Néhány helyen néztem nagyokat (nagyokat röhögve), elkélne neki egykét frissítés :P English: BTW were CM Parts translated by Google Translate? I had some looks at parts (lol'ing too), it would need some updates :D
