Guest ms20 Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Can anyone recommend a TPT image to free up space in /data/ I'm going to wipe for rc2 but I'd rather see what works for other people than restore all my apps and find a problem with the partitions. Also is it worth updating the gapps?

Also i would recommend something like Darktremors app2sd script for freeing up space
Guest css771 Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 (edited) Just to add to that battery report, here is an events log of 30 mins during which battery life fell 3% 03-07 21:10:28.505 I/battery_level( 198): [98,4143,300] 03-07 21:10:28.525 I/am_create_service( 198): [1081829800,com.google.android.gsf/.checkin.EventLogService,,1652] 03-07 21:10:28.585 I/aggregation( 1652): 1299512428587 03-07 21:10:28.715 I/am_destroy_service( 198): [1081829800,com.google.android.gsf/.checkin.EventLogService,1652] 03-07 21:40:28.745 I/am_create_service( 198): [1086554952,com.google.android.gsf/.checkin.EventLogService,,1652] 03-07 21:40:28.755 I/aggregation( 1652): 1299514228756 03-07 21:40:28.825 I/am_destroy_service( 198): [1086554952,com.google.android.gsf/.checkin.EventLogService,1652] 03-07 22:07:03.506 I/battery_level( 198): [95,4122,300] As can be seen, battery fell from 98% to 95% during this time, when it was on standby, and according to Battery Use, it was awake during this time. com.google.android.gsf seems is being created and destroyed over and over again. There's nothing else happening between 21:10 and 21:40 in either the main logcat or logcat for the radio. Anyone know what to make of it? Edited March 7, 2011 by css771
Guest Zythus Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Cant be such a thing waste battery so much... It needs to be in system 2.3.3. As the article says, which was post 1-2 pages ago.
Guest simonckenyon Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 lol it's settings->about phone->battery use and then touch that thing on the top. duh! i never though to try licking there. it does not really look like a button
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Great work !!! i have read that gingerbread is the responsible about battery drining , just read this topic http://phandroid.com/2011/03/04/android-2-...e-battery-life/ about nexus one and 2.3.3 ps: sorry for my bad english That is VERY, VERY Interesting. It's not a Blade Issue at all, it's am Android Issue. No wonder it's in every CM7 Nightly, as we're all on 2.3(I suppose the .2/.3 difference doesn't matter, as the nexus one never had .2 officially to test it.) Perhaps the infinitely quicker CM7 devs can get something out on this.

Guest Pelemane Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 duh! i never though to try licking there. it does not really look like a button Yeah I haven't licked there but maybe that works too :( :( Seriously: I accidentally clicked it and found out that way how it works. :)
Guest Oyorf Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 The first post should probably be updated as N13 fixes the 5MP camera black and white issueDo you have 5Mpix blade? Someone said earlier that autofocus is not working with it, but colors are fixed? Can you confirm? I'm about to install Cm7 but don't want to do that if autofocus is broken.

If that green box is autofocus thing. :( it doesn't focus on anything, just stays in the middle of screen.

Guest syinet Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 mate of mine told me about an app someone wrote for the 'blank screen after call' issue for another model on cm7, link below, not tested though as i'm waiting for the rc2, still on froyo. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935250 btw, he had his setup so that Tasker would start this app before a call and killed it after although i don;t think it's a resource hog. ps. sorry if this has been mentioned before, i'm not going through 110 pages :(

And I never have data connection on. So I wonder what it'll be like for me when I install N13. Still just as abysmally bad, I presume.

It still drains. So I don't think that's the issue with the Blade battery drain. I'm going to try keeping WIFI enabled though (Never Sleep) and will use something to keep the connection properly open, since CM7 still has the issue where the phone drops the WIFI connection when the screen goes off if it's not connected to USB. Will see how it goes.. :( Edited March 7, 2011 by Scoopading

Can someone add this to issue tracker? (I don't know how to do that or is it even possible for normal peroson who is not working with CM)
Guest ootyposoo Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 (edited) What version of Clockwork are you using? Needs to be the modified 3.0.0.5 for this or 3.0.0.6 :( Now does it worth it to put a 2.3? I mean everything is good with Japanese jellyfish 2.2. Should I proceed or I will end up to recover JJ buckup? and thanks for the answer Edited March 7, 2011 by ootyposoo
Guest swordtail Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Err... looking at the time of his going... I assumed he was going to sleep?? Not going going. Or am I wrong? I read as he was Going as in had enough plus the fact you can hover over his name and it no longer highlights to email him, may be I just read it wrong that's all, well I hope I did. :(

I mean everything is good Japanese jellyfish 2.2 Should I proceed or I will end up to recover JJ buckup? Well, ask yourself what you expect from upgrading to 2.3, then decide. As long as you are happy with JJ I'd say wait for the current issues to be sorted out.

Guest ootyposoo Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Ok, thanks all for the answers I will test it out :(

Could be wrong though
