Guest Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) Hi, first i wanna congrats kallt_kaffe for this amazing ROM. I have tried FLB, MCR, JJ and lately CM7 and I'm pretty sure that this ROM is the most complete and stable (because of CM7 issues of course). I just have one issue after flashing the ROM: I cant download anything from the market, the app start downloading and after a second it stop without any error or something. I google about that but its everything okay with gmail and it synchronizes well so im not sure if the issue is related with google account... Thanks for attention, waiting some help.. Best Regards! are you on the froyo partition mod,if so you need to flash the cache zip whenever installing rom to make market work Edited March 28, 2011 by Guest
Guest johannes140 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Hi. How can I download the '' HTC '' Launcher2.apk for this ROM? Like on FLB. The only big and good difference is less lag and the virtual visual of a ''cube'' in menu icons... It came by default in FLB ROM, but pushing that launcher2.apk to this ROM, the screen goes black and do nothing :S (no icons, nothing). P.S. Using Root Explorer to have the permition to write on system/app folder. Can someone help me? +1. Would really like the launcher to zoom in / out the app drawer, and also the 3d app drawer, as on FLB's rom. replacing the launcher2.apk and rebooting results in bootloop, unfortunately :D could you provide us with a .zip including that launcher, kallt? thank you!
Guest quikfxp Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Nice work. I will be installing this without a doubt :D
Guest Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Nice ROM. But Sony Ericsson Arc launcher (modyfied 800 x 480 version) doesn´t work (cannot install):/ On FBL 11 works well. Anyone else trying install these launcher? Im using mod Arc launcher from XDA,working fine on R3 :D good launcher, not many options, but really cool apps draw
Guest gomes29 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 are you on the froyo partition mod,if so you need to flash the cache zip whenever installing rom to make market work thanks a lot :D its working now!
Guest KidX Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Been using RLS3 all day, superb work kallt_kaffe :D
Guest anewman Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) I found deleting /etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf did *NOT* help with wifi issues. Off to try another rom, might come back if there's a fix for the wifi :D Edited March 28, 2011 by anewman
Guest Sighn Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Brilliant ROM. I'm using RLS3 and not experiencing any issues. Nope, not a single thing!
Guest RafaelPSouto Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Anyone with missing arrow in the Call Log?
Guest rak007 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 I am facing a serious issue with this ROM. Whenever connecting the phone through USB cable to computer, as expected the phone does start charging but i do not get the notification of USB connected and USB debugging enabled. It is like only once it came but in 90% of cases it does not come. Due to this i am not able to turn on USB storage through the ROM :D Through clockwork i am very well able to mount USB storage. Please suggest as to what the issue may be.
Guest panosfx Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Anyone with missing arrow in the Call Log? Me with aosp contacts
Guest Wanderer71 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) Just installed this ROM. Seems working all right now, though I had issues: -wifi was not working (was unable to scan) -email app crashed all the time It turned out that in both cases the cause of the issue was the Titanium backed up all settings as one of our forum member correctly stated. So I wiped my phone again and installed the ROM but this time deleted the affected settings from my backups (and all that seemed unnecessary or potentially harmful) then attempted restore again. My issues was gone and the ROM now seems stable. No other issues found (yet ;-) ). Note: I have switched from FLB R11b to Swedish Spring. This is a great ROM seems a notch more stable than FLB R11b but it is early to tell. But big thanks goes to fibblesan I have really enjoyed using the FLB rom!!! Edited March 29, 2011 by Wanderer71
Guest M1kz Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Could you make same kind of circle battery indicator addon like in JellyFish was...? please...

I only have restored WLAN-Accesspoints (not more) and had this wlan problem... flashed again and didn't restore wlan thing and now everything is perfect! Another question: Which themes I can use for RLS3? Tried frankish's true-gingerbread-circle-mod-theme but got bootloop :D update to this theme thing.... I flashed the flb-gingertheme... my fault! Guest kallt_kaffe Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 I just ran a diff on the cm7 and SS smartass freq files and it looks like there are a whole lot of differences in the code, not just the freq. :D Yes I know. I tried the CM7 version first (the Blade CM7 that is because asfaik the other CM7 kernels does not have the smartass governor) and it performed really bad so I went to the original source (or so I believe) and "ported" it myself. If you diff the one in my kernel against the one in erasmux's flykernel you'll notice that they are almost identical.
Guest gv? Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) Hi guys, I installed the SS RL3 and while everything is working great, the home button is not working (no action upon pressing it) I did a full wipe and I have tested the home button both with stock launcher and adw launcher. It is certainly not a hw issue since the button is working on Clockwork mode. Anyone had the same issue? Any known fix? Thanks Edited March 29, 2011 by gv?
Guest Blues003 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 So far, with 1 day and a bit of a use, here's my call on the ROM: - Launcher performance: brilliant. The best ROM ever in terms of launcher speed both in the homescreen and appdrawer. Even launchers that perform typically slower (like Go Launcher EX) are very fast. - Menu loading is very fast as well. - Super snappy and responsive. - Wi Fi suffered a respectable improvement since RLS2. I've had better connections, but now it's at least decent/good. - Battery life appears to have improved with the Smartass configuration. Still need more days to test that. - Angry Birds is still poor when compared to ROMs such as CM7. I am running SS RLS3 with all the addons except for the blue GB keyboard, and with a Frankish Circlemod Theme on top! Overclocked to 710 MHz.

Guest reluctant_traveller Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Anyone............ You tried a different USB port on the computer?
Guest rak007 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 You tried a different USB port on the computer? Yes and even tried two different computers. Through clockwork, it mounts fine and i can access my SD Card on PC but through ROM i never get the notification in notification bar but charging of phone does happen fine.
Guest tmmp Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) Since i've seen so many people asking for it I decided to upload the battery circle. This is the version I use. It is compatible with the clockwork 3.0.1.4 (sory if its wrong kinda sleepy here lol) NOT 2 I am not responsible if it bricks your phone, it worked for me but you it can be different (but hoppfully it will not). http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XT05FDHD PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS for some reason the file has corrupted, i will post a new one when i get home for now my honest apologies. Do you have the zte blade drivers installed on the PC? Have you enabled USB Debugging under settings - application settings - development? I don't know what else it could be if the cable and PCs are ruled out, and it is mountable whilst in clockwork.
