Hi

Have just changed from Finnish Fillyjonk and so far so good.

Only thing I can't get to work is a notification sound for any missed calls????

It works for emails but not calls?

Any ideas please?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Installed SS RLS3 (from a Modaco r12), did a wipe before just to be sure, and everything works at 100% until now. Zero problems with wifi/bt/gprs/3G, battery performance seems the same, and -to my surprise- the device picked up a couple of fps in Neocore and Quadrant, HOWEVER it lost a bit overall in total Quadrant score. Linpack is the same....

One major issue is that, despite what kalt_kaffe said, I noticed a HUGE difference in performance after I installed the AHB and the UI_hw_acclr addons. Prior to that responsiveness was a bit jerky and lacking...dunno why, that's what I noticed....oh, and the "fast" setting in animations made a difference as well...

Overall however, very happy with this release. SetCPU is at 320-672 all the time, and I just want to do a couple of burn-in tests to validate all the above...

Definite two-thumbs up ;-)

I am facing a serious issue with this ROM.

Whenever connecting the phone through USB cable to computer, as expected the phone does start charging but i do not get the notification of USB connected and USB debugging enabled. It is like only once it came but in 90% of cases it does not come. Due to this i am not able to turn on USB storage through the ROM sad.gif

Through clockwork i am very well able to mount USB storage. Please suggest as to what the issue may be.

i had the same problem with the rls2, rebooted the phone...problem solved :D

android is flakey like windows...if it doesn't work, restart the bugger!!

Bizarre. Do you have the zte blade drivers installed on the PC?

Have you enabled USB Debugging under settings - application settings - development?

I don't know what else it could be if the cable and PCs are ruled out, and it is mountable whilst in clockwork.

Nope and i never had. Infact i was using FLB ROM before and it used to work fine and even yesterday it did work fine for once.

And yes the USB debugging is enabled. Restart too did not help.

Although i can live with it for now, will be using clockwork to mount SD to be accessed from PC but just that i hope to find a permanent solution for this.

... I decided to upload the battery circle.

This is the version I use. It is compatible with the clockwork 3.0.1.4... it worked for me ....

Unfortunately, installation aborted on my phone.

I also tried to make one from the UOT kitchen, and that didn't work either.

i have some issues too

i installed SwedSpring with clockwork manually (boot, hold down key)

everything went fine, it even reinstalled my programs

i did it like this:

i've got a 16gb sd in my phone, i copied the rom to another 2gb sd

i've put the 2gb sd in it, rebooted, installed the rom and afterwards put the 16gb back in

install went fine, normal programs work but:

gps can't find signal

3g (data) doesn't work

opera crashes sometimes

do i have to reinstall or try something else?

Are you sure you are using clockwork 3.0.1.4?

Yes, as it is what I used to install SS3 in the first place.

What is the error you get?

Hi guys,

I installed the SS RL3 and while everything is working great, the home button is not working (no action upon pressing it)

I did a full wipe and I have tested the home button both with stock launcher and adw launcher. It is certainly not a hw issue since the button is working on Clockwork mode.

Anyone had the same issue? Any known fix?

Thanks

Any ideas

Hey guys,

Just decided to give Swedish Spring a try, but I'm running into a strange problem. I did a full wipe with clockwork and manually installed the zip, after booting up I restored my apps etc with titanium backup, so far so good. Now here is my problem:

Wifi does not work at all. When I try to turn it on the phone lags for about 20 secs, after which I can see it starts scanning. After doing that for about a minute it says "unable to scan for networks" and turns WiFi off again. What is happening here, any tips?

cheers!

Extra info: I now get "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" pop=ups al the time...

try a phone reboot, if that doesn't work (it should), you could install the rom.zip another time without a wipe...

What is the error you get?

Installing: /sdcard/Swedish_Spring_RLS3_BatteryCircle.zip

Finding update package...

Opening update package...

Installing update...

E:Error in /sdcard/Swedish_Spring_RLS3_BatteryCircle.zip

(Status 0)

Installation aborted.

I've downloaded the zip twice and tried to install it with the same results each time, and I have also tried building one in the UOT Kitchen also with the same results.

performance is fine without adding overclocking & hardware acceleration, did you do a second boot before coming to this conclusion ?

Fisrt boot is always a little slow, second boot and rom will run normal,i think this goes for most roms.

(not saying you should'nt have the add-ons,as i am using them :D)

That is because you have restored system apps and settings which is rubbish. Reinstall the ROM and restore only user apps and games.

Before reinstalling, you can first try to delete /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf, as explained above in this topic. I had the same problem with wifi and this solved it.

And thanks for this great ROM !

@rotmann: that makes sense, should;ve thought of that. Thank you for the advice, I'm trying a fresh install and only restoring user apps now. Fingers crossed..

I just installed the HW acceleration addon and I'm noticing that LauncherPro became more jerky, especially in app drawer scrolling. Stock launcher seems unaffected.

AGPS doesn´t work, i can´t get position when i´m inside. Gps works great on outside. JapJelly it worked when "use a-gps" was ticked, but now there isn´t that option. If it should be automatically on when network is on, then its broken. Or is it something do with operator? I have finnish operator saunalahti.

The gps.conf doesn't have the A-GPS enabled, so it will not work. You need to edit this file

my problems with WiFi are now resolved, thanks guys! :D I wiped everything, reinstalled the ROM again and then only restored my user apps (after carefull selection). however, I;m still stuck with one question:

How do I conserve/backup stuff like text messages, call log etc. when switching to a new rom? Can this be done with Titanium or no? What I did now was make a full system +apps beackup before reinstalling. however, I could only restore my user apps since restoring everything gave issues. Is there something I'm not seeing here?

Can you tell the exact location of this file and what changes are to be made in this ???

Please check this forum entry.

Unfortunately I cannot help you on editing this file, since I'm trying to do it myself without any luck.

Edit it before you flash the ROM :D

Either that or you will need to mount the system as RW.

From a command prompt on Windows

adb shell

su

mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

Then pull the file and edit it in notepad or similar (this will put it in the root of c:)

adb pull /system/etc/gps.conf c:

Push it back

adb push c:\gps.conf /system/etc/

adb reboot

That should work :D

Is this a known problem (I wiped everything b4 you ask) The Gallery loads the pictures really slowly. It's not the amount of pictures because in any other ROM it loads them quickly

install quickpic from market its brilliant insatant pics can use it as default i did it and its miles better
