Me with aosp contacts

Anyone know a fix for the missing arrow on the AOSP contacts/call log?

How do I conserve/backup stuff like text messages, call log etc. when switching to a new rom? Can this be done with Titanium or no? What I did now was make a full system +apps beackup before reinstalling. however, I could only restore my user apps since restoring everything gave issues. Is there something I'm not seeing here?

Install SMS Backup + (by Jan Berkel) it will backup your sms messages and call logs to your gmail account, you can then install after reflashing and restore them.

Also makes a nice permanent record of texts that you can browse on your google account.

Any plans to change the widget picker app? The one in FLB merges multiple widgets for a single app in to a single entry in the list but with the one in this you get a single entry for every version of the widget. With something like Elixir you get a large list to scroll through.

Other than that a great rom.

Same thing for me too, coming from FLB I could'nt work out at first.

It's not a biggie but it would be better.

Loving this ROM so far BTW. Seems quicker - I have got the HW UI added though.

Installed yesterday, upgraded from 2.1. Wasn't so sure about the early 2.2 roms. Really loving it. Thanks for your work!

Please check this forum entry.

Unfortunately I cannot help you on editing this file, since I'm trying to do it myself without any luck.

You can use Root explorer to open and edit this file.

Hello.

After flashing SS R3 over R2 i noticed that when you record a video, camera have a problem with light recognition. It goes darker and brighter all the time. So it's visible when you watch video after recording. It was in low light condition. I reverted to SS R2 and problem disappeard. Anyone noticed it. Maybe its because I didn't vipe but i reverted to R2 without vipe also and everything was ok...Any ideas?

You cannot directly. You need to:

decompile framework-res-apk, edit arrays.xml to suit you requirements (reference to Android Developers site for xml array structure), rebuild framework-res.apk, resign with the platform keys and then integrate in to a CW friendly .zip or replace the current version in /system/framework and reflash the ROM.

(Pushing even a signed framework-res.apk via adb fails to boot.)

I do it several times a week - you get the hang of it... you can even semi-automate it after a while. One important but painful inevitablity is that the OLED Blade reacts very differently to array values and has a far narrower control band.

Also is there any known way to add Greek to the Gingerbread keyboard? I know this probably is asking a lot but would you consider adding Greek in that keyboard on the next release?

Thanks.

Same question here :D

Me too having that

But someone suggested that this issue is because of the out of box overclocking in this version on ROM. If you reset the max value back to stock 600 the flickering effect would go off.

Not tried yet.

Just tried....it works...changed max to 600 and flickering is gone :D

One more issue i found.

I tried using the No Frills CPU application to change the max freq from 652 to 600 Mhz and after pressing the Apply button, the screen froze and nothing was responding. After about 40 seconds the phone rebooted and the cpu value remained unchanged at 652 Mhz

Anyone else with same issue ??

Edit: Found that if the the governer is changed to On demand and then the max made to 600 it works.

thanks, i see.

have two quastins:

- where I can get platform keys?

- and how to make CW friendly .zip?

Interesting... In the early days of overclocking I changed the speed of PLL2 but it turned out that the GPU was deriving it's clock from it and 3D-performance went down the drain so I switched to use PLL0 instead.

Now I guess PLL0 is somehow connected to the camera so what I believe happens is that the camera gets underclocked. @652.8MHz it will be underclocked with 32% if my guess is right. I'll try to use PLL1 instead but then something else might break.

There's a script in /system/etc called qcom.post.boot.sh or similar that you can use.

So if I just add:

echo 748800 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/smartass/awake_max_freq

to init.qcom.post_boot.sh does it work like this:

max 748MHz, min 480MHz when screen on

max 245MHz, min 122MHz when screen off?

And no need for any apps like Setcpu or nofrills?

Hi,

regarding the Wifi problem. I flashed my Blade twice, both times doing all the wipes, and both times the rom worked fine, except the wifi.

The first time wifi was fine until the second reboot, so i did another wipe and flash to get rid of all settings, recovered no wlan settings and disabled the wlan settings google sync.

That worked as long as i did only use one wifi, the connection to the second wifi i want to connect to stops at "getting ip adress".

After another wipe i was able to connect to this wifi, but on another try at the formerly first wifi it also fails at the ip step.

Both wifi are WEP protected, signal strength is god, connection speed is fine (if im able to connect)

I tried editing my /etc/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf with the intention to delete the settings of the wifi i did no use at the moment, that failed, but i was able to reconnect to my wifi after deleting both settings.

Looks kind of weird and it is not really practible over longer time, but at the moment its ok cause is really like the rom :D

I hope you can solve my problem :D

Coming from FLB 11b, as this seems the rom of the moment, could someone offer some basics with the overclocking/govenor/cpu speed settings.

I am getting the camera/video flicker so I changed speed to 600 in no frills and it went away. So I tried apply on boot in no frills and it gave a message 'unclean shutdown values not applied'

so what Im after is what the govenor options mean and which speeds are the factory ones ... Im just afer stability and battery life ... cheers in advance Mark.

thanks, i'll give that one a shot. Maybe it would be handy to add this info to the "how to flash a ROm guide". At present it describes how to flash a rom on a stock phone perfectly. however, switching between ROMs is not as clear. I"ll check in with the moderator of the Guide-topic what he thinks. Who's up for helping me extend the guide a bit?

As I suspected PLL1 seems to be the modem PLL so changing that totally made the phone useless as a phone. So it's either flickering in camera or degraded 3D performance. :D
