voice input fix final

Hi rithchen! This kernel is wonderful. Skype works well. The only problem is fast battery discharge. Should we wait for the next fix? How soon, if not a secret? :P

Hi rithchen, this kernel is great, but I have another problem which is WIFI-tether error.

It has to be turn on twice or error will occur. My kernel is t&l.08.

very thx :P

I'm the only one with impressive battery drain with latest fix? Something like 5-6% per hour in total idle?

yes, me too. ~ 40% during the night.

yes, me too. ~ 40% during the night.

+1

35% over 7 hours.

Drains faster than before.

Or the battery is degrading?

Could the batter drain be due to the radio people are using ? I noticed when I updated to 4.008.08.EMEA.VFIT, battery drain is pretty high.

Any others notice this also ?

try with latest gnufabio's kernel.. the one tagged 20110527-1501. battery drain cause seems to be wifi power switch.

please test it with 4.008.08 radio, as we (me and gnufabio) are using 4.002.14 radio...

yes it is! :D i guess it's not fixable

What the hell, it's the minimal battery usage for the chocolate, if you want a better battery life i think you should re-flash acer stock kernel :D

It is not bad.

But SD storage is not accessible again. :D

I am going to flash back to T&L ..

Do you mean SD mount on usb?

Hello everyone,

I spend some time to migrate acer's kernel with chocolate kernel.

And this kernel is fully compatiable with acer based rom.

All hardwares are working, hope you like it :)

News Updated!!!

The final fix for voice input problem. (tested with google voice search & skype)

And this kernel use gnufabio's kernel tree, i change the vibrator and usb driver from acer's kernel.

How to install

Use malez recovery, flash zip without sign check.

Q&A

1. What' new in this kernel?

This kernel is based on chocolate, so all the features in chocolate are avaliable.

(OC, ramswap, MT fix, CPU government enhance, etc..)

Plus, I migrate the acer's kernel source to make all hardwares and functions behavior just like the acer's stock kernel B)

(Wireless & Usb tethering, all sensors, etc..)

chocolate_fix3.zip

I spent lots of effort to make this kernel better!

If you think this kernel helps you, you can buy me a drink

hello, and happy new year :)

i still have my liquid A1 and i am looking for a kernel working fine with LCR-F 2.0 rom and malez recovery.

- is the app2SD of malez recovery compatible with this kernel ?

- is the SD card mounting issue confirmed or fixed ?

many thanks,

philippe

voice input fix final :P

first thanks for your work

But I noticed (on LN 1.9.2, which was applied your micfix) that now the gain is toohigh and can easily reach the microphone distortion, there is a way to decrease thevolume of pre-amp? thanks

hello,

thank you ritchen and all the devs

i tested chocolate fix3, and i provide some fixes :

1) tested with csipsimple (i don't use skype), the voice level is a bit low but acceptable

2) the low mic volume issue for memo recording, can be solved by flashing original audio libs

http://www.fileserve.com/file/9CAkp2a

http://www.mediafire.com/?5b1z5bly8foo9z5

thanks paZirezz !!! without this patch, the problem remains

3) the SD mount issue can be solved by unchecking safe mount / unmount if you use swap file (if you use swap partition, check the boxes)

ph.
