Guest rangeoshun Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 (edited) We also have tried to compile a booting kernel, but haven't got pass the bootloop. We even got bootloop after turning off the problemetic drivers. Actually it seems like a bunch of mad munkies, with a bunch of copy+paste actions made it. Or only we couldn't get anything working. I also tried to compile an m860 kernel, but as usual bootloop. The last time i managed to compile a simply broken kernel, that gave a black screen after the splash logo.. but hey no loops this time :D Edited June 4, 2011 by rangeoshun
Guest jimmie32 Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 @rangeoshun, could you please give me a few instructions on what you did? Just so that we don't do repeated work.
Guest rangeoshun Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) @rangeoshun, could you please give me a few instructions on what you did? Just so that we don't do repeated work. We tried to fix the issues emerging like including unincluded .h files that helped to compile. If that didn't work, we replaced them with older driver files. But the mostspeaking was the fact, that even when turned off, it bootlooped. So I think the problem might be more deep .. Also I tried to use the defconfig file to make a bootable kernel, but it didn't work also. Edited June 6, 2011 by rangeoshun
