Guest voyteckst Posted September 10, 2011 Report Share Posted September 10, 2011 It's because when we set a CPU frequency in Windows Mobile, the clock speed is "Hard Coded" in the processor. Think of it as Overclocking in your PC's BIOS, even though you change the OS the clock speed of the processor will remain the same :-). Do take note though, when you set it to 800MHZ in Windows Mobile, the Omnia II's Processor will run at 800MHZ even while sleeping! Sorry, but it isn't true. Setting CPU speed in WM does not affect CPU speed in Android. CPU speed in Android is managed by linux kernel and settings of cpufreq governor.
