Why so low NAND read/write?

Running J Disk Benchmark performance of internal nand is very low compared to SD (transcend class 6).

Internal nand: write: 0.29MB/s, read: 6.71MB/s

SD: write: 6.67MB/s, read: 9.76MB/s

Any idea why performance is so low? Any way to fix it? Change file system to EXT4?

Edit: Ok, this is weird, after moving tons of apps from /data/app to /system/app speed has increased alot.

Performance for internal nand is now: write: 1.12MB/s, read: 8.94MB/s

If you extract the rom you can see that some read ahead values are hard coded. (And in a way that seems counter intuitive).

Its always a trade off between bulk transfer and small files.

(The fact that its as it is implies to me that Sony tested it properly to choose those).

Failing that you can change them after you bootloader unlock.

There is a thread on xda developers forum that is about the SE kernel - Ask them why they do that.

(I expect they have a better reason for doing what they do than people who add the so called tweaks to custom roms without properly understanding what they are doing).
