Guest xibianliang Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 for me, the camera doesn't work at all. it crashed before the camera apps shows, whether i used the default camera software or third party one.also, wifi is not working properly on my phone as well.in wm, there are many available APs around while no APs was found while booting into android.apart from that, i've initially got no dialer interface after making a call and the phone seemed to freeze.but after a few reboots, it's normal. do you have the same problems? of course, there are many improvements, including less heating, longer battery life, etc. finally is it possible to have portable hotspot in the future? much obliged to you guys for giving my phone a new life!
Guest AnYhOw Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 For all who are tired of using Ubuntu,to make My Storage installation,do this: 1.First download this and unrar it to the root of My Storage as is. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LMDVA130 2.make sure you have at least 1,2 GB free space on My Storage and copy the file fs.iso from here to the \iso folder. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5LAOKBYI 3.start haret.exe from the root of My Storage & enjoy the new Froyo. The 3d drivers are inside, also calllight and task manager.iso file is 1,1 GB now for more apk installation space :),also trick: when you istall some apk's ,just copy the fs.iso file to your hard drive to have a backup if anything goes wrong, just copy the file back to iso folder :). Once again many thanks to all developers who are making this great work for us.Regards. http://o2droid.phj.hu/index_en.php Hello! This post is taken from the previous thread. Is there anybody who can create the set-up file like this ^ again? I think it's simpler for everybody. Hope this can help people who are still unable to boot up correctly.
Guest mezz_89 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 Hi.. I'm new to this topic.. Can I install this without using any SD card? Will it be able to install with only using My Storage? TQ..

About Wifi, works fine but if internet dont work you have to set IP to static and add a gateway as well. Right after internet wont work again, so you just have to disable the Static IP. Working fine now. Edited September 18, 2011 by rom_omnia2
Guest nikkotsoi Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I don't know, what is configuration of your router, if router have ip 192.168.1.1, that you must to insert in static wifi> IP 192.168.1.x x is another with 1 and in range 2..255, subnet mask> 255.255.255.0, gateway>192.168.1.1 and DNS>192.168.1.1 have you this config? my wifi is working now! thx but i think this should be solved since it i have to change setting time to time(when using another wifi) btw, i use d-link router dir655 how about urs? maybe it's problem of some brands only
Guest grlrv Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 Does anyone know how to install live wallpapers?
Guest Thor2 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I've build my partition like yours, using this startup: Set ramsize 180*1024*1024 Set mtype 1626 Set ramaddr 0x50000000 Set kernelcrc 1 Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk1p5 init=/init console=ttySAC2,115200" setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1 pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3 pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805 pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7 pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0 pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11 pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80 boot It does not stop at pink screen, you just have to wait about 1 minute. But after this step don't get out of Android Logo Screen. To me it just locks up with these lines on the screen pink ... I've waited over 15 minutes and never got the boot Android soon ... I do not know what to do ...

Guest Thor2 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 Why you don't delete this extended partition and creates a primary partition: And how I do it?... Gparted or Windows Minitool partition wizard ?
Guest rom_omnia2 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) ABOUT STUCK AT ANDROID LOGO LOADING: I had this problem before, it's a problem with the partition table. To solve, you can try to create the ext4 partition manually, with this command: mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdXY X = your device Y = your partition If don't work, didn't worked for me, you will have to delete all device partitions. In this case of MYSTORAGE you just have to flash a FULL SAMSUNG ROM. It'll restore all your MyStorage Partition table. Like this: /DEV/SDB1 7000~ MB /DEV/SDB2 512~ MB Then go back to Linux and run this command: mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdb2 Assuming that you wan't to use the 512MB partition as your ext4 partition. You can also delete all partitions and rebuild at the way you want to. . Running Android, it's really faster than the old one, no SOD so far. Thanks to all Dev's. Guest rom_omnia2 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 And how I do it?... Gparted or Windows Minitool partition wizard ? Dude, this tool in the picture. If you don't know how to do it, then forget it. Wait for the installer by dev team. But try again this startup file: Set kernel zImage Set ramsize 180*1024*1024 Set mtype 1626 Set ramaddr 0x50000000 Set kernelcrc 1 Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk1p5 init=/init" boot My startup file is like this, without that information.
Guest haebinlim Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 SD Card format as PRIMARY PARTITION, that is right. hmm? I installed android on mystorage so SD card should be able to freely mount and unmount
Guest longsin Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) My storage normally starts with partition 5 which is FAT. So probably it will be 6 or 7 for You not 2. hi,voyteckst i installed it in SD.When i called, the phone appear SOD. Edited September 18, 2011 by longsin

Guest apolloZ22 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 Even I have same problem. On my phone IMEI is shown as 00000000000. Works fine in Froyo Beta 1 and also on Windows mobile. I need some help, i have installed beta2 in Storage (2 gb in mmcblk1p6 ) work at first try, pretty fast, everything ok except PHONE, i have no signal, the device says " can't search for a network", there is a solution for this?, it's posible that installing manually in storage of 2 GB is the problem? (works before in beta1 and also works normally on WINMO)
