Guest voyteckst Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I can not access the contents of My Storage Storage at home when I open / storage. Is there any way to do it? If You changed default partitioning layout, where My Storage was on partition 5, You have to change its number in /init.rc file (line with mounting of /storage.

Guest bsbsbs Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1 pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3 pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805 pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7 pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0 pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11 pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80 I guess this isnt necessary, running Android properly without this SETBITB in my startup file. About Wifi, works fine but if internet dont work you have to set IP to static and add a gateway as well. Right after internet wont work again, so you just have to disable the Static IP. Working fine now. Hi if You do not know what are these why posting nonsense? if You do not know what are these why posting nonsense? These lines are needed very much. We use serial console and these sets the the chip parameters. And this sets the clocks before booting linux. Without these the phone can be unstable and freeze when you connect usb Sandor developer
Guest roboreaper Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 My method 1. download the ubuntu iso and burn as cd 2. Boot up the computer with the CD using the Try mode (live CD) 3. Use a card reader to read my micro sd card 4. system> administration > GParted Partition Editor 5.Find my sd card driver on the right top corner 6. Delete all partition of the sd card (there is normally two partition in the sd card if you installed froyo beta 1 before with the installer) 7. Create a new partiton by right click > new> fat 32> enter the size of your sd card - 1000MB >"disk0" 8. create another partition by right click > new>ext4> size 1000mb>label "disk" 9. click the "tick" above and wait for the computer to finish 10. Go to desktop , click "examples" > find ur downloaded froyo beta2 zip 11. extract all the files inside on the desktop 12. click applications>accessories>terminal 13. type in cd Desktop 14. type in "sudo tar zxvf ext4.tar.gz -C /media/disk " 15. wait until process finished 16.check from the explorer to see if there are files copied into "disk" that is ur sd card 17. plugin the sd card back to ur phone 18. copy haret.exe +startup.txt+zimage into my storage 19. edit the startup.txt to mmcblk0p2 20. Start haret!! (for me the first boot is failed, but 2nd boot is success , maybe same to you :D) ok i tried to follow these instructions but when i do step 14 it says: allot of times permission denied........ cannot create mk dir. allot

Guest shoarmabakpao Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I think the 3d drivers that we have in this new beta are not as good as the 3d drivers we had in Froyo beta1
Guest voyteckst Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 We are using this froyo version and kernel daily, there are no SOD's and freezes...
Guest andylau Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 Hi , i instally beta2 in my storage ,but it ran from the pink screen in less then 1 minute to black and nothing happened later ,then i had to pull out the battery, anyone have the same problem or knows why? Guest voyteckst Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I think the 3d drivers that we have in this new beta are not as good as the 3d drivers we had in Froyo beta1 It's the same drivers ;-)
Guest peyman_omnia2 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 i boot android without linux thanks dev
Guest shoarmabakpao Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 It's the same drivers ;-) Oooh ok. Do you think to update those 3d drivers if you, the dev's were allowed to?
Guest Extremegmx Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 We are using this froyo version and kernel daily, there are no SOD's and freezes... Does it matter how big the ext4 partition is ?(which one should I use, 1gb or 2gb?) Thanks!
Guest andylau Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 i boot android without linux thanks dev how did you do that, with the beta1 installer?
Guest peyman_omnia2 Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 how did you do that, with the beta1 installer? yes with beta 1 installer
Guest voyteckst Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 how did you do that, with the beta1 installer? Theoretically it can work, but it won't create ext4 partition, only ext2. But it creates also wrong startup.txt. First post updated with testing kernel with enabled screen display (ONLY FOR TESTING what's wrong).
