Don't change init.rc. If on internal storage allways use 1pX

I would guess.... Try 1p6

If not working reinstall and also check if it is installed without errors

I reïnstalled it a couple times, but no working Android :(.

I created the partitions and checked for errors, but there are no errors during installation.

It just hangs on Android on Omnia 2 Loading...

Do I have to wait 10 minutes on that screen?

I'm using manual installation on internal storage. for all people who may want to use manual installation, you can see the manual from page 94 (http://windows.modac...ost__p__1829477).

I just follow all the step there, and I'm using fstab, init.rc and startup.txt from beta 3.

for startup.txt you must add additional "vmalloc=256M". you can see it from my startup.txt

all i can say.. it really fast.. thx dev team.. really appreciate it.. B)

I have been installing all beta via external storage. Is there real a difference in speed to go through the steps of an internal installation? I'm quite happy with the speed that it is currently working at, I'm just slightly curious if I could be happier ;)

If it hangs on "Android on Omnia 2 Loading", it may be failed at wrong partition.

Fair enough, sorry for the unnecessary question.

I'm just so impressed and happy that you gave me android on this device I feel you should be compensated for your time. I'm sure many of us would not only be willing but very much want to give a donation to the Dev team. We all appreciate what you've given us immensely :)

First impressions is great. Amazing job dev's.

1) I didn't saw any pink screen. Is that right?

2) Hardware camera button works for me, just press twice (or/and) auto-focus button first.

3) Phone is working fine, South America.

Ps: I miss "Dev Tools" shortcut and that other one that i don't remember the name, it's for advance settings.

I am just blown away with this release, account sync right way, wifi connected immediatly, all movement and transitions are smooth and amazing. Angry bird rio works flawlessly, no choppiness at all( i'm finding the audio skips here and there, but that's not even an issue in my mind) all common phone features (text, calls etc..) are working perfectly. Top notch work for sure!!!

I've been messing around quite a bit and havn't encountered so much as a fc. Just. Blown. Away. Thanks Dev Team

maybe you should try correcting the "my storage" partition number in the init.rc?

I installed it mannually too. You have to change

mount vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 /sdcard

to

mount vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /sdcard

installed at SD - OK used old partition ext and swap

first boot approx- 10 min

surprise- all app already in that mean upgraded old system

Format all partitions and reinstall it. Otherwise You are asking about problems.

I've seen people post different keymaps throughout this forum... Is it not then possible to have the hardware camera button open the camera app without issue? I know I am unfamiliar with the core of the android system, just an avid user :), but can we not just set that button to open the camera app and not have issues with it?

I am able to not press the button if it's not possible, it just is slightly frustrating at times to have a button that will immediately freeze the device

I have formatted the micro sd and I've erased all the partitions and I made the automatic installation.

It has worked for the first time and then It hasn't worked anymore

you can simply remove the keymap of the camera button in the s3c-keylayout.kl file

then your phone won't be freeze accidentally
